That's what I've been reading. Can Ukraine get by on half? I think it's a matter of how it is apportioned out and what systems are specific to which countries. UK's Starmer seems to indicate that Ukraine cannot. I believe repair parts for Ukraine's electricity generation were part of USAID. Also curious what Poland is thinking right about now, if there is an increased sense of urgency there.
It would be nice to at least see EU countries get together with regards to the $200 billion in seized assets of Russia's and dedicate it to Ukraine.

Europe has been giving more per capita. But USA is richer country. USA has given much more overall. By far. They also have the most advanced hardware.

The reason is 70 years of European laziness. We've dismantled our armies and moved that money to generous social welfare programmes and pensions. Americans work much harder than Europeans. And use that extra wealth to buy weapons to protect Europe. That's not fair. USA and Americans have enjoyed the feeling of power of being the big daddy of the world. But it's just an ego boost. It doesn't put food on the table
