How should west respond to Russian invasion of Ukraine?

The simple fact remains that Putin thought it would take a few weeks and it is coming up on 5 years
And it took exactly few weeks. Then Biden told Elensky "You are dead man if you sign anything with Russia"
Putin made a mistake when he gave Israel PM promise not to target Elensky.
More hand waving and misdirection.

What Biden did or what Trump is doing today is irrelevant to the catastrophic blinder Putin made.

Russian troops made it to the outskirts of Kiev and turned tail and ran. The Russian militray performed badly.
Catastrophic blunder is all yours. You fucking assholes were promising win over Russia in 2022
It is on record.
If it's on record, post it. Until then it's just another one of your ass facts.
I posted it here million times. You keep forgetting and asking for it again.
You two, really need to do something with your symptoms.
Bullshit.

Post it.

YOU are the symptom. Of course you could be banned, and that would get rid of the symptom, but the underlying sickness of Putinism would remain.
So it’s just as well that you are kept here, as a reminder of Russia’s governmental perversity.
Good job, babs!

Minus the cat, this is how the war is going. There's a drone sitting there, they see the ATV, they chase and destroy the ATV. You can see the guy on the back realized the safest thing to do was jump. And Russia keeps feeding it's troops into this grinder.

Trump would like Ukaraine to cede the occupied areas to Russia and make peace.
Does not matter what he wants/says, what matters what he, or rather his government, does.
His government needs to stop providing inteligence to Ukraine. Then cut StarLink access to Ukraine
And then we will talk.

Putin is too accommodating toward US. I understand he thinks about life after war. But it was a mistake not to observe multiple red lines US and EU has crossed.
Putin is not going to have a life after the war, which assumes he's actually alive. He will be spending all his time in hiding, protected by people he can't trust.
I meant Russia US relations after the war, not his life. Putin will be fine in Russia. Elensky, on the other hand, will be dead in a few years, assassinated in Israel by Ukranians.
No one takes Putin's red lines seriously. He too is scared provoke NATO article 5. It would take about 48 hours to reduce what's left of the Russian military to ashes. It might be 10 hours, depending on what Ukraine has left standing. Once the first missiles hit, Putin will be dead(one shot in the back of his head) and some Russian General will be on the phone saying, "Look, can we talk about this?" It might be a Colonel if there's no Generals left alive. Zelensky will die an old man in his house in Yalta.

I suppose no one takes Trump's red lines seriously as well. It would take just about the same amount of time for Russia to annihilate the Western world.

Sure - mutually assured destruction has been a fact of nuclear war potential for ... since the 1950s at least. Russia's "doomsday machine" might even work, if they've been able to maintain it.

Putin invaded Ukraine with an army that was suffering form decades of poor maintenance. Maintenance of military equipment is expensive and it's the first thing to suffer in system that operates on corruption and self enrichment. The problem is, unless you actually get into a war, no one will ever know if you kept your tanks and trucks in working order. It's easy to rationalize letting it slip by. After all, you've got all this diesel just so you can start all the engines and drive around for a couple miles, or you could sell it to a guy who owns a trucking company. If the tanks and trucks are never needed, no harm, no foul. When this rationale is extended to it's logical conclusion, there's no reason to think an intercontinental ballistic missile would be treated any better, because it's a lot more likely someone calls up one day and says bring the truck, than it's time to shoot the missiles.

Exactly. Except most of these red lines were officially imagined-established by western assholes such as yourself.
But he did react to crossing the red line he set himself and that is NATO expansion into Ukraine.
That's why we have "unprovoked" invasion, which was anything but unprovoked.
So you fucking scum don't like talking about that.

True. But then, tanks and trucks may not be needed in a future war. Radars, missiles and satellites will be more important, and countries try to keep them up-to-date.

"The GSLV-F18 vehicle placed NVS-03 satellite into a Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit. The Launch was successfully executed from the Second Launch Pad (SLP) at Satish Dhawan Space Centre, SHAR. (30th October, 2026)

NVS-03 is the Third Satellite in Next generation navigation satellite system envisaged for providing continuity of navigation services for IRNSS series. The satellite carries Indigenous Atomic clock, along with the procured Atomic clocks. It also includes L1 signal in addition to existing L5/S signals with coverage over India land mass and a region extending 1500 km around Indian geopolitical boundary."

Bullshit. It was true during 2008 NATO attack on Russia in Georgia.
After that Russia took NATO aggression seriously and by 2014 army was in a better shape for nazi Coup in Ukraine.
in 2022 is better still. What we obviously did not have are numbers. We did not have numbers nearly enough for "invasion"
That was a mistake which allowed BoJo to come to Elensky and gave him a pet talk "Russian force is ony 140K. You, piece of shit, have standing army of 800K here in Ukraine, which had 8 years of combat experience fighting rebels in Eastern Ukraine, we have been arming and training you for all that time, and you fucking clown want to sign a peace deal with Putin? fuck you! You go and fight and you are gonna win and you will be a winner. If not you will be dead, we will make sure of that"

And that clown had little choice but to obey western mafia.

Who is Putin to say when a country can or can not form an mnemonic alliance with Europe? Ut ste smae Stalinist Soviet playbook.

His war and threats caused two ling time neutral counters to join NATO.

Former Soviet States That Joined NATO

Several countries that were once part of the Soviet Union or its Warsaw Pact allies have joined NATO since the dissolution of the USSR in 1991. These nations were historically aligned with the Eastern Bloc and, after the fall of communism, chose to align with the West.

Estonia – Joined 2004
Latvia – Joined 2004
Lithuania – Joined 2004
Bulgaria – Joined 2004
Romania – Joined 2004
Slovakia – Joined 2004
Slovenia – Joined 2004
Poland – Joined 1999
Hungary – Joined 1999
Czech Republic – Joined 1999
Albania – Joined 2009
Croatia – Joined 2009

The Soviet Union dissolved in 1991, giving rise to 15 independent post‑Soviet states

Of these, only the three Baltic states — Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania — pursued full integration with the European Union, while others remained in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) or other political arrangements WikipediaWikipedia+1.
EU Accession

The 2004 enlargement also included Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Malta, Poland, Slovakia, and Slovenia

Estonia – restored independence in 1991, aligned with the EU and NATO
Latvia – declared independence in 1991, sought EU membership as part of Western integration
Lithuania – regained independence in 1991, joined EU in 2004

Putin should take a hint, people do not to align with Russia. Putin does not make it attractive and welcoming.

Putin is pissing in the wind.

People did no align with you either. You basically occupied Eastern Europe and Finland.
Current Regime in Germany has 10% support. AfD which many claim is pro-russian is 30%.
I would say a lot of people align with Russia.

In fact, with 30% support we should be allowed to run Germany. I mean NATO invaded Ukraine with 20%
30 is bigger than 20.

It is not about the USA.

It is about what former Soviet states chose to do after the Soviet collapse.

Putin can not turn back the clock.

Trying to force Uka9e to be aligned with Russia is futile, Putin will never achieve his gal of a restoration of a Russian empire.

Yeah, military historians always say that. What Russia lacks in numbers, she makes up in quality, logistics, training, strategy, and tactics.

Oh, hang on. Got that the wrong way around, sorry. What military historians always say is that what Russia lacks in quality, logistics, training, strategy, and tactics, she makes up in sheer numbers.

"Quantity has a quality all of its own", a quote often misattributed to Stalin, largely because his country and his army sure as shit didn't have much else going for it.

To hear a Russian try to sell the idea that the Russian millitary failed due to insufficient numbers, is redolent of barrel bottoms being furiously scraped in the empty 'poor excuses' warehouse.

Pull the other one, it's got bells on.
