Did not know until today that One Nation is directly lifted from Hitler. I knew the similarity was remarkable, not that that was what she was aiming for.

I too cook with them, but I still want them to retain some of their crispness. Sauteing in a little butter does that if they;re fresh.

Yeah, my dad was the same - he came to visit me here in Australia, and we were driving through the Glasshouse Mountains, and asked what they were farming in the fields along the highway. I said it is mostly pineapples in this area, and he said "Where are they?!"

Silly me thought that logic was independent of a user's politics, world view or <insert favourite adverb, pejorative or adjective here>.

But did you know about conservative and non-conservative forces? Gravity, Coloumb force etc. are conservative, while friction is presumably progressive.

To clarify, he actually says "Ein Volk, ein Reich, Deutschland", and "ein volk" could be translated as either "one people" or "one nation". The title of the video is misleading. The slogan was usually "Ein Volk, ein Reich, ein Führer".

In her maiden speech to parliament in 1996, Pauline Hanson said “To survive in peace and harmony, united and strong, we must have one people, one nation, one flag.” I wonder where she got the idea for that? Recently a former One Nation senator, Fraser Anning, used the phrase "final solution" to call for an end to Muslim immigration and a return to the White Australia policy. Anning says it was "inadvertent".

Even Germany, paranoid as they are about Nazis, used "Wir sind ein Volk" ("we are one people/nation") as a slogan for the Reunification.
