I'm here...
Lumpeproletariat used the term 'Whacko' or 'whack job' in discussion. I politely informed him that we prefer the term Bug Knuckle Americans.

So when I say 'PC' I mean 'PC-ish' while still being open to at least a little bti of levity.

I'm writing a Ghostbusters Fanfiction and have hit a stumbling block. There are spooks who prefer the term 'Post-Mortem-Participants.' Or at least, someone on the staff at the reality show studio wants the actors to use more PC terms like PMPs or Afterlife Engaged Americans, or some other way to respect the LGBT community (Levitating, Glowing, Bodiless, Transparent) (Peter, predictably, replies with "Don't call me an actor, I'm an On Screen American, thank you very much")

So I'm open to any suggestions about what to call the ghosts, either from the studio lawyer's side or the Ghostbusters' less-than-respectful replies.

I also need something for a Jekyll/Hyde character. This would be from the J/H himself. "I'm not schizo, I'm a Variable Morality Sufferer!" or whatever.

J/H is "personality challenged"

"Next life challenged" "Purgatorally persecuted"?

Gravity advantaged?

Something "advantaged." As in being able to go through walls... Sorry, it's the best I've got.
Floorplan Independent?

Might be something the ghost shouts... "I'm not subject to your floorplan rules, buddy! I'm a hallway rebel! I walk where i want to walk! I mean, um.. OooooOOOOOOH!"

Isn't a whack job, a massage parlor happy ending?

I don't know about this, especially the word Participants. Do entities only get called a participant if they are in the natural, living world? Can't they only participate in the non-living world? Also, some ghosts just sit in their coffins after death waiting for the Rapture.

So, Keith, have you come up with a term you're happy with?
Several, thanks!

I knew i could count on this crowd.

The idea currently percolating is the studio wanting them to stop saying 'spook' or 'ghost' or 'haunt' and the various terms thrown back and forth.

i will link to the conversation when i finally write it.

I was consideringit an alternative to 'haunt.' And it would be something the ghost would assert, that dying didn't men he/she/it was no longer part of the survivors' daily life.

Can't they only participate in the non-living world?
Well, if I'm investigating a sound in the attic and the flashlight flickers and dies, and out of the Stygian darkness comes a voice that sounds like ten sheets of Kleenex wiping fingerprints off a coffin's finish, to whisper in my ear, "So, laddie, are ye' one to be b'leivin' in g'ost stories?" i'd be one of the first to say they were participating in the living world.

Differently visible.

Bio-mechanically inactive.

J/H Emotionally versatile. Pathologically contrary.
