Definitely. Long, long ago (before the GPS constellation was launched, let alone a civilian service) my father was in Boston and asked for directions. The guy started to give directions, realized it wouldn't work. Tried again, realized it wouldn't work. Finally he said you can't get there from here.

The kicker: He was asking a fireman.

Pffft. I've been there with my trusty GPS trying to get to a hospital i'd already been to.
It's not a lot better.

When Michelle (tm) says 'go slightly left' i don't know if she means the dogleg that the current street takes, or the 45 degree angle street. I'm pretty sure she doesn't mean the 95 degree turn to the right, but that's all. Oh, and i DO know that whichever one i take, it's the wrong choice.

Yeah, my GPS tried to take me at least 30 miles out of the way that way--and I've got lane guides for freeways. The problem was the options were turn right gradually or turn right sharply. She to me to go right and wanted me in the right lane--but that would have put me on the freeway going the wrong way.
