Income In European States

Bill Gates goes into a dive bar and orders a drink. One bar regular turns to another and says, "By average, this bar now has the wealthiest clientele".
That's why it is important to specify what kind of average you mean. I hate that Excel is contributing to the confusion by calling its mean function AVERAGE rather than MEAN. I guess all the business majors that use Excel would get confused.
Anyway, judging by numbers I think the average they are using for the litle[sic] graphic was median, not mean. And for the median it would not matter if Bill Gates walked in or somebody else above old median. Mode would not be affected at all, unless a group of identically wealthy billionaires walked in.

To the average MAGA person, almost all of Europe is "socialist" which is the definition I suspect CC is using.
It is mostly not MAGAs but left-wing posters on here and also some left-wing politicians who are confusing capitalist countries in Europe with socialism.
Look also at politicians like AOC who is a card-carrying member of DSA but doesn't really understand DSA's tenets, like support for seizing the means of production (although they want to seize them "democratically" rather than through a proletarian revolution like RevComs).

CC also doesn't strike me as a MAGA.

Fascinating, I didn't realize that Trump and Desantis are "left wing".

For $200k, he can get my 2/2 in Ohio and have enough leftover for a slightly used Corolla.
He wants the walled estate and security guards. Weird guy ... born a Brit, naturalized Murkin, voted for Trump the first time, then smelled rat and sat out 2020.

An appraiser I hired last yr told me he was saving, planning to retire to Russia. Said he could buy a 3 bed 3 bath newly built home in a gated community with security, tons of amenities, gorgeous landscaping etc etc …
All for about $200kUSD.
And electronic monitoring in every room.

They aren't, but Bernie, AOC et al are.
You do realize that Trump and Desantis are just the most prominent ignoramuses about socialism on the right. There are plenty more of them. The term "socialism", like many terms, has lost its very specific meaning. For example, there are plenty of dogmatic libertarians who maintain that the neither the USA nor most of Europe is "capitalist".

And Bernie and AOC are just the most prominent ignoramuses about socialism on the left. So much so that the prime minister of Denmark directly rebuked Sanders about that. And so much so that AOC is member of DSA but is ignorant of their tenets which include public ownership of the means of production, according to their constitution.

I suspect the OP wrongly thought western European countries were "socialist" because he listens to the likes of Bernie and not because he listens to the likes of RdS. Or "dogmatic libertarians" for that matter.

It is possible. In my view, it is more probable that your animus against "leftists" colors your analysis.

Trump cannot use the word except as profanity, but he freely uses socialist rhetoric and policies, like most populists. He is the true friend of the "blue collar voter", sheltering them from the depridations of "social elites" and questioning whether any education not explicitly approved by his party has value. He sings the praises of mass government subsidies for favored industries. He bails out power plants when they fail, farmers when they can't keep up with global competitions. He used his office and his twitter account to micromanage how favored companies arranged their pricing and supply chains suring the pandemic.

All presidents are at least part-time socialists, because socialism is, at the end of the day, popular with voters. They just don't all realize it, so conservatives need to have it disguised before it can be spoon-fed to them without spills.

Friend of the blue collar worker my ass! This is the cheating clown renowned for hiring small businesses to do jobs and then stiffing them and refusing to pay his bills. And of course infamous for stiffing his lawyers also.

It upsets you that people correctly describe "mixed economies" as "mixed economies".
