There are no socialist countries in that litle[sic] graphic. There are some formerly socialist countries (former USSR, former Yugoslavia and some eastern European countries) and they tend to have long 1 million Euro times. I guess they are still reeling from all the blessings of actually existing socialism. The right likes to squeal a lot about Socialism. The following interesting litle graphic seems to show that is hot air.
To the average MAGA person, almost all of Europe is "socialist" which is the definition I suspect CC is using. There are no socialist countries in that litle[sic] graphic. Btw, what's the benefit of presenting the data that way? Why not simply just report median incomes? And speaking of "median", I suspect that's what they mean by "average", rather than the mean income. Overall, a rather amateurish litle[sic] graphic.
Yes, but you are only looking at the dark side of things. Look on the bright side.An appraiser I hired last yr told me he was saving, planning to retire to Russia. Said he could buy a 3 bed 3 bath newly built home in a gated community with security, tons of amenities, gorgeous landscaping etc etc …
All for about $200kUSD.
I bit my tongue … I wouldn’t buy a residence there for a plugged nickel, as long as Russia remains a shithole dictatorship under a bloodthirsty genocidal sociopath.
The fact that a party has the title "Democratic Socialist" doesn't mean terribly much. Just like The title "Democratic People's Republic"Yes. All those Democratic Socialist parties running things in Europe.
Of living in Russia? What would that be? Cheap vodka?Look on the bright side.
If Bidenomics is "socialism", then all of the nations on that map are socialism. There are no socialist countries in that litle[sic] graphic.
Yup--places that are cheap to live in are almost always that way for a reason. An appraiser I hired last yr told me he was saving, planning to retire to Russia. Said he could buy a 3 bed 3 bath newly built home in a gated community with security, tons of amenities, gorgeous landscaping etc etc …

I was being sarcastic. I will add /sarcasm tag next timeOf living in Russia? What would that be? Cheap vodka?Look on the bright side.
You're right, it is hot air. It takes longer to get to a million the farther you are from here...The right likes to squeal a lot about Socialism. The following interesting litle graphic seems to show that is hot air.
Or come up with that cheap vodka!I was being sarcastic. I will add /sarcasm tag next timeOf living in Russia? What would that be? Cheap vodka?Look on the bright side.
You are mixing up democratic socialism and social democracy. The former rejects capitalism and seeks public ownership and control of the means of production. The latter seeks to work within a capitalist, market economy framework. For the most part, left-of-center major parties in Europe are social democratic. There are some actual socialists, like Jezza Corbyn (luckily put out to pasture) and people like Yanis Varoufakis, who was Greek finance minister for a short time mercifully. Both these socialists also like Hamas - go figure.Yes. All those Democratic Socialist parties running things in Europe.
It is mostly not MAGAs but left-wing posters on here and also some left-wing politicians who are confusing capitalist countries in Europe with socialism. To the average MAGA person, almost all of Europe is "socialist" which is the definition I suspect CC is using.
True. That's why the concept of purchasing power parity (PPP) was developed.A million dollar can buy a vastly different amount of goods in different systems.
Doubtful, at least outside major cities.1 gigabit internet in Russia is about $6-7.
