When the day comes in the future when Israel finally bites off more than it can chew and winds up paying dearly for that military miscalculation (as happened in the Yom Kippur War) I'll remind you of this statement.
I'll say this for the Israelis, they have no hesitation to throw their leaders and former leaders in prison if they deserve it. I'm almost jealous.

I dunno about ethnicity but there was in fact a Jewish Kingdom of Khazar, but it was made up of Turkish converts among the ruling class as I understand it.
Reality:
The 1948 war started with the Arab attack on Israel.
The 1967 war started with the Egyptian blockade of Israel.
Of course that doesn't address the real issue that the Jews are the aggressor by refusing to be second class citizens.

Israel was right to fight back against a blockade.
So what about the blockade Israel has on Palestine?
Reality check: The Yom Kippur war went badly because Israel listened to the peaceniks, including those in our own government, and didn't prepare adequately for the Arab attack. You were listening to the Jews-are-always-wrong mantra, weren't you, in thinking that they bit off anything.

They're still chewing on Gaza and the West Bank... time will tell if they can keep them.
Egypt didn't. They were returned when Egypt got sensible and made peace.

The Zionist terrorist attacks carried out by Menachim Begin, Yitzhak Shamir, and their Irgun and Lehi cohorts started in the 1930s. The massacres at Deir Yassin and other nearby villages also pre-date the declaration of Israel's existence. So while the war with Egypt might be said to have started when Israel declared its independence, the fighting with TransJordan began much earlier, and it was started by militant Zionists.
Israel launched a pre-emptive strike in 1967 that started the war.
Loren know both these facts but usually pretends he doesn't so he can defend Israel with his special bullshit attacks. But at least he's not claiming the Jews were enslaved by their neighbors in Palestine.
The Muslim attacks on Jews predate even the 1930s.
And Deir Yassin is what sometimes happens when people fight in civilian attire.
And a state of war actually existed when Israel launched that strike. Blockades are acts of war. The Egyptian declaration of a blockade was the actual start of the war. Blockades are usually done by big countries to small countries who obviously choose to let it remain a non-shooting war. Israel didn't. They took advantage of Egypt's stupidity in going to war before they were actually ready to attack with a strike on the Egyptian air force.

So long as Israel keeps Palestinians from having either independence or equal Israeli citizenship, Israel has no claim to any moral high ground.

Palestinians could have their own state in 1948. They refused because they wanted the whole
Palestinians could have had their own state between 1948 and 1967 but Egypt and Jordan would not let them.
Palestinians could have had their own state in 2000 after Camp David negotiations, but Yasser Arafat (the least deserving Nobel Peace Prize recipient ever) decided to start the Second Intifada instead.
Palestinians got unilateral disengagement from Gaza in 2005, but instead of building on this toward peace, they launched hundreds of rockets instead and elected Hamas (which has destuction of Israel as its raison d'etre).
Blaming Israel is ridiculous.
In the case of Gaza it's a terrorist entity and self-declared enemy of Israel that wants to destroy it, so a blockade is probably the way to go.
