Is N Korea really a threat?

Saddam Hussain was a saint as compared to the " Fat Kid!" Besides, Iraq didn't have nukes.
do you not get the intended point that yeah, iraq didn't have nukes, but why did we think it did have nukes? oh yeah because the republican administration told us they do.

why do we think NK has nukes? oh yeah because the republican administration tells us they do.

it's the exact same setup and everyone is falling for it.

Wrong! Nukes testing by NK have been observed by others besides " Republicans!"

Not deployable nukes. Yeah, they have demonstrated the ability to blow themselves up.

You have been intellectually dishonest. You compared real deaths with your fantasy about the imaginary help you provided.
Please, go on believing that the US has never helped ANYONE EVER. Your blindness is made blatant when we scrutinize your next sentence.
Don't put words in my mouth.
America has been the most generous nation in the history of the world.

Unfortunately there are a lot of warmongers there today like yourself, and because there are warmongers like yourself millions have suffered as well.

Uh, probably not.

Please, look up 'conceivably' in a dictionary.

So, I will grant that you can't conceive of a North win.

But I certainly can because it a fact that I can.

And if it's a fact, it's not a probability.

I could walk down the street, find a lottery ticket that someone dropped, pick it up, go to the store, and find out that it is a multi-million dollar winning ticket.

It is a probability.

I am not trying to putting words in your mouth. When I mentioned all the lives saved by American intervention, you in contrast describe them as "imaginary." Plus, you call me intellectually dishonest for mentioning them in the same context as the lives lost due to American intervention. How else am I to interpret your words except that you don't believe in any positive outcomes from American intervention?

I also wouldn't describe myself as a warmonger. I am a proponent of maintaining the status quo on the Korean Peninsula which as you might recall is more that 60 years of peace and quite a bit of prosperity for those in the South. If that means I pay a few dollars in taxes every year to maintain some US military bases there each year, I am happy to do it.

What you just wrote shows you accept that you could conceivably win a lot of money.

So what is it exactly you don't understand when I say that North Korea could conceivably win a conventional conflict with the South?

Beats me.

If I was S. Korean, Japanese or a US soldier/sailor stationed in the area, I would be worried.

My guess is that N.Korea's ICBM program is severely limited. Perhaps the one that they just shot off was the only operational missile they had.

Zip and folks,

Bannon is right. The US has no non diplomatic weapon against NK. Any attack would mean millions dead in South Korea and the loss of collateral wealth and prestige. But there is more. In the last Korean war, Koreans, Chinese and Russians fought shoulder to shoulder against the Yanks. If you doubt me, google 'Secret world of the MIG '.

The North Koreans know that their back is safe, and China and Russia would like nothing better than the Yanks out of their backyard.

Proposed North Korean Peace Deal

China, Russia, and U.S. sign a military security agreement to protect

BOTH

North Korea and South Korea from attack

BY ANYONE

for 100 years, in return for North Korea suspending its ICBM and nuclear weapons programs and allowing inspectors to confirm they are sticking to the deal.

At the end of a hundred years, North Korea and South Korea agree to unify under one rule. No other details on how that happens will be in the agreement. North Korea will be free to tell its people that the Kim dynasty negotiated to be the rulers of the unified country in a hundred years. South Korea will be free to announce that unification is a goal with no details attached. We will all be dead in 100 years, so we can agree to anything today. (That’s the key to making this work – all players will be dead before the end of it.)

You're trying to clear the path for your warmonger.

I see two big problems with this.

First, you'll have to convince Kim Jong Un he will be dead in a hundred years. I'm sure he would be hard to convince.

Second, you'd need him to be dead in one hundred years. I'm sure he will try to make sure this doesn't happen.

How does one control a spoiled child who's always gotten his way? A good spanking is the only way.
One certainly doesn't make matters better by continuing to placate him.

The problem is how to spank him without killing millions in Seoul.

Ah, the need to spank the idiot in the neighborhood. No need for spanking. He's an idiot. Not only will his impotent thrusts be shot down, but, China will take over to prevent NK from becoming part of SK. They've done it before yano. He's a bit like the dumb shit who locked his keys in his explosives van near times square some years back. Depend on Kim fucking up.

You don't see me putting down any down payments on mansions and luxury yachts. The probability is so low that it really isn't conceivable.
