They are, but unfortunately, they are not taught in good context, at least in my experience. Looking back, there was almost a shape of assumption that we knew what propaganda was and that we would already know it was bad. There was no discussion of how or why it was a violation against those disseminated to, or against. I would rather think that half the class would have walked away with propaganda as "a new tool for their box" rather than "another problem needing to be addressed and recognized."
