...Trump stands to win again, especially if he gets what Joe Schmoe on his couch feels as economic wins.

I'm curious about what you believe Joe Schmoe feels... if he owns stocks or a 401K, he has taken a beating over the last six months. If he simply believes what Cheato tells him ("you're making a FORTUNE thanks to me!"), there's no salvaging the ignorant asswipe.

I don't own any stocks or the equivalent of a 401k. Many a Joe Schmoe won't either. What most Joes WILL feel is increased gas prices, etc. Find a way to skyrocket gas prices and find a way to make it obviously Trump's fault (like a major incident he causes with OPEC countries) and you may get Joe to more easily become politically aware and vote Democrat

I think that with the same amount of effort, one could get ten or fifteen former fence-sitters out to the polls. You know - the type who hated Trump, but hated Hillary even more. Hillary is gone now, but Trump is still there.

There has been report after report after report of "Joe Schmoe" losing their jobs or having their small business hurt by Trump's policies.

A lot of them are saying they will vote Democratic for the first time ever. I hope they are telling the truth.

Too many others still find a way to blame everyone else except Trump or themselves. These are the "ignorant asswipes" we have no hope of salvaging.

You may need them though. Not everyone will lose their jobs and turn on Trump. You will need to push a positive message along with this backlash effect against Trump. Another "I'm not him" campaign may not be enough.
