The ultimate EU provides an umbrella for the Banksters and their Capitalist customers to control several countries at once.

How unlike the English ones, and Father Xmas's other relatives!

We have our own Banksters who are still paying off a lot of monies pimped off its customers years ago. However, until the EU our banks didn't need bailing out. The UK will eventually open, more trade with other countries but if things are sensible during BREXIT retain most of its cross border relationships.

...until the EU our banks didn't need bailing out. ...

So when everyone talks about 2008 as the worst banking crisis to hit the UK 'since the 1930s', are you imagining that the UK was an EU member in the 1930s, or are you just completely oblivious to the recent history of your own home country?

The EU was supposed to be insulated against such things with a strong EURO and unity of the countries financial policies.

The UK never joined the Euro, so it's bloody stupid to try to blame the failure of UK banks on the Euro.

It's also bloody stupid to blame a GLOBAL financial crisis that had its roots in US mortgage securities being overrated, on the EU.

I thought the roots had to do with there being several trillion dollars in derivatives dependent on the value of (pick anything subject to price fluctuations).

If the authorities had simply paid off the underlying mortgages the crisis would largely have been averted, and at much lower cost, no?

As you perfectly well know, 'our' banks needed bailing out as a result of doings in the American housing market, organised, so we are assured, by Mr Brown, after his take-over of world capitalism!

It's called Globalism. As countries are more tied into common banking systems individual nations are less immune.

What evidence have you for that? It is news to me. We are a part of American capitalism, to all effects and purposes, and the best we can hope for now is to become a second Puerto Rico.

American Capitalism is part of Globalism and control by a few. Anyway unless the UK starts building houses soon to catch up with the 2 million shortage bearing in mind the floods that pour in from the rest of the world then we will end up like Puerto Rico

Further, anyone living in London on less than £60,000 per year can expect the major part of disposable income going towards rent or a mortgage. May of course will do nothing.

In the EU countries which went insolvent effectively had their foreign policy influence by the Bankster Mafias.

bil,

Yep. We had our cake and eat it, with EU membership and no Euro. Now, where's that cake?

wp,

Too right about the American capitalism. Used to be said, "When America sneezes, Britain catches a cold".

Some say ... the world catches a cold.

Certainly when the US attempts regime changes the world catches a cold too. :)
