"Locker Room Banter"

He's the opaque one who is scared to release his taxes.
Therefore he is more corrupt that Hillay Clinton??
He's the one who deals with foreign governments under the table.
Is he?

He thinks the Geneva Conventions are a problem and said "I would bring back torture even if it doesn't work". You think he would be all sunshine and roses? There's also that whole issue with, you know, sexually assaulting women, denying he did it and deflecting responsibility from his actions. :hysterical:

There's every indication that he would be a tyrant, and every indication he doesn't have anything close to a sound mind. Your glasses are far too rose-tinted if you think otherwise.

Oh well - rack up one more viewer for Trump TV. As long as there are people willing to line their pockets, there will be Trumps ready to capitalize.

No I didn't say that, and I don't believe it.

I'm not an American, so I take a different view. From what I can see here, most or a lot of Americans don't care too much about the wars America starts, the countries they bomb, the countries they invade. You guys seem to see other issues as more important.
Hillary Clinton is far more dangerous for the rest of the world.

Will Wiley, you think Trump is some kind of pacifist?

Hitlers are dangerous for everyone. See: WW2.

Question for all posters (who have ever been in locker rooms):

Have you ever been in a locker room, heard someone brag about committing sexual assault, and NOT called the police?

Rule of sexual bragging. If you can do it you don't say it. Yes, I've heard guys say stuff like this. These guys were all obviously virgins who sucked at life.

My experience validates the notion that those who know don't say, those who say don't know. But even though I've been on sports team locker rooms, gym locker rooms, team buses etc., I have never heard anyone brag about conquest-by-assault. Far more common are the losers claiming that they have to fend off the advances of women...

Bragging among peers is always an attempt to raise one's status in the group. This is a very complicated social transaction, because one is attempting to change how others view oneself.

If one over exaggerates, the group knows the brag is untrue and status drops, so the more subtle boast is usually better received. This is the real problem with "locker room talk". Everyone knows they are the subject of a sales pitch, and the product is the bragger's status and ego. There is an added element which is better appreciated as men mature. Bragging about sexual exploits exposes one's intimate life. In the real world, where we work and have to interact with many people, this creates a vulnerability. Intimate details are best confined to intimate friends.

It's easy to imagine a situation where a locker room boast could be repeated and your boss realizes you are the one who left his drunk daughter on the door step with her panties on backwards. It's not your fault you didn't know her name, or your bosses address.

Group status is a strange thing. In order to obtain it, one must do things the group admires. If one is part of a stupid group, stupid things rule. This is how extreme skateboading evolved.

For myself, I think the locker room braggart is more of a mythical creature, than a real person. We'll leave teen boys for another discussion, so this is about grown men. There are so many ways that exposing one's intimate life actually damages one's status, rather than enhance it, most men simply avoid doing it.

Those who do brag about such things, hope to raise their status, but the real result is, their veracity and their judgment are questioned.

There is no point to dissecting the philosophical, metaphysical, psychological, emotional, linguistic, or canonical nuances of what Trump was saying.

It simply was not an attitude or sentiment that any human being that might by any stretch of the imagination qualify as the leader of a world power, utter. Ever. to anyone. anywhere.

What if a presidential candidate simply said, "fuck them bitches.. they be hoes".
Well, that pretty much is what happened. get over it. and "him".

Agreed, but it has pretty much blown over now anyway. But it has been a hoot reading the outrage.

As far as I am concerned, Trump disqualified himself from office long before this faux pas came to light. But in the grand scheme of things, what he said isn't exactly a hanging offense.

And if you ask him, he'll tell you that women voters of the USA all agree that he's nicely hung.

If he incites his trumpsuckers to violence after he gets trounced, he should well be hung - for sedition.

I agree... and I like Hillary's response to his little game of "if I loose, it was rigged". She characterized it as highly un-American, and undermining the integrity of the foundation of our Democracy... and I agree.
