Merged Mar-a-Largo raided by FBI?

To denote when two or more threads have been merged
Well duh! She isn't a particularly good judge and this type of case apparently is well above her pay grade. And that is the polite version of this that doesn't implicate her in a conspiracy to keep Trump from going to trial as political cover.

Fox is now telling their brainless audience that Sleepy Joe put out a hit on Trump, and wanted him shot when the FBI raided Trump’s hoard of stolen documents. They can’t get enough bald face lying, and Murdoch doesn’t seem to mind paying hundreds of millions for the privilege.

Use of deadly force was - AS IS ALWAYS THE CASE - authorized if needed, hence trumpsucker will believe they wanted to kill the fucktard. And said fucktard was thousands of miles away, which the FBI made sure of in advance. But facts never stand in the way of FOX’s lies.

At this point I sincerely wish the FBI HAD shot him. We’d all be better off.

This email will shock you! But it’s just Trump trying to raise money

Followers of former President Donald Trump were meant to be startled when they were sent an email Tuesday, addressed from “President Trump,” with this arresting subject line:

“They were authorized to shoot me!”

The preview line in the email did not back down.

“I nearly escaped death. Biden’s DOJ was locked and loaded for deadly force at Mar-a-Lago …”

Literal readers of Trump’s message might wonder: Is this a cry for help from physical harm?

But everyone should know it is just Trump asking, again, for money.

Writing fundraising emails for politicians these days frequently seems like an exercise in clickbait, but alleging a life in danger is something new. It also feels like a twist on the outrageous “absolute immunity” argument Trump’s lawyer made before the US Supreme Court last month that presidents should, at least in theory, be able to call out a hit on a political rival and not face prosecution.

He was in friggin New Jersey when they came to Mar-a-Lardo to get back what he stole. But I suppose this is proof that Biden is senile. Aims for the fattest, most recognizeable liar in the country, and misses.

Isn't this the same guy who was selling "Hillary For Prison 2016" t-shirts? Basking in the "Lock Her Up" chants at his rallies?

The same guy who claimed that she was the most crooked person in the world, and was guilty of unspeakable crimes that needed to be punished?

The very same person who spent four whole years in charge of the Executive Branch of the most powerful government on the planet, with authority over the Department of Justice and the FBI?

By his arguments a position that gave him the authority to not just raid Hillary Clinton's home, but to send a hit squad to assassinate her?

Weird how he never even tried to pin so much as a parking ticket on "Crooked Hillary," isn't it?

As Tucker "I got fired because my employer was in damage control after a 3/4 of a billion dollar verdict for spreading lies" might say....

"I'm just asking questions."

When James Comey dies, I hope he’s reincarnated as a port-a-porty.

Judge Aileen Cannon rips up court schedule in Mar-a-Lago case in ways that benefit Trump

Judge Aileen Cannon is again ripping up the court schedule in former President Donald Trump’s classified documents case – pushing some of the legal questions that have been before her for months even further down the road.

Cannon is planning on holding a sprawling hearing on Trump’s request to declare Jack Smith’s appointment as special counsel invalid, signaling she could be more willing than any other trial judge to veto the special prosecutor’s authority.

The planned hearing also adds a new, unusual twist in the federal criminal case against the former president: Cannon on Tuesday said that a variety of political partisans and constitutional scholars not otherwise involved with the case can join in the oral arguments later this month.

It’s an extraordinary elevation of arguments in a criminal case – filed a year ago this week – that likely won’t see trial until next year, if at all.

Wednesday, Cannon went further, adding a hearing on a gag order request from prosecutors to limit Trump’s rhetoric about law enforcement and allotting more time to hear arguments on the special counsel issue.

How much longer do we have to put up with this bitch?

The Republicans are right. The justice system is corrupt!

Mainly the parts of it that Trump appointed.

You’re not in the right mindset. If one thing has one bad and another has a thousand bad then they are both equally bad.

New York Times: 2 federal judges urged Aileen Cannon to step down from Trump case

Two federal judges in south Florida urged District Judge Aileen Cannon to forgo overseeing the criminal prosecution of former President Donald Trump when she was first assigned the classified documents case in 2023, according to a report from The New York Times.

The judges, one of whom was the district’s chief judge Cecilia M. Altonaga, suggested that Cannon decline to oversee the case brought by special counsel Jack Smith and allow another judge to govern the case instead, the Times wrote, citing two people briefed on the conversations.

Cannon is still overseeing the case, which has seen a multitude of delays and is not yet scheduled to go to trial.
I predict she will ignore the opinion.

Takeaways from Monday’s big hearings in the Trump classified documents case

During a long day of hearings in Fort Pierce, Florida, Judge Aileen Cannon challenged prosecutors from special counsel Jack Smith’s team to show how former President Donald Trump’s repeated comments about the FBI translated into a threat against law enforcement officers.

The special counsel’s office says that a gag order is needed because Trump has repeatedly, and misleadingly, alleged that the agents who searched his Mar-a-Lago estate in 2022 were authorized to murder him.

Cannon did not seem inclined to approve the limitations on Trump’s speech but did not immediately issue a ruling.

The judge also heard arguments on Trump’s long-shot motion alleging that the special counsel’s office is being improperly funded. She did not rule on that motion either.

Here’s what to know from Monday’s hearings:
Read the rest. A little fireworks occured.

My feeling was Trump's lawyers were trying to make it seem like the investigation was being run by the Biden Administration, ie outside of Congressional oversight. But it really looks like a fishing expedition in a bathtub, and Judge Cannon is rolling with it. This isn't Federal District Justice territory. Granted, neither was invalidating FDA approval of a medication.

If Biden wins, I've got to imagine Cannon will need to be removed. She is showing an absurd level of partisan involvement here.

Trump presses Judge Cannon to take up immunity question in classified documents case in Florida

Attorneys for former President Donald Trump are now seeking to use the Supreme Court’s presidential immunity decision to help him in his criminal case in Florida over the mishandling of classified documents.

In a new court filing Friday, Trump’s team said they want an updated schedule in the federal classified documents case so they can argue points related to the Supreme Court decision.

The decision “guts the Office’s position that President Trump has ‘no immunity’ and further demonstrates the politically-motivated nature of their contention that the motion is ‘frivolous,’” Trump’s attorneys wrote.

The Supreme Court’s decision directly applies to the federal case over 2020 election subversion efforts in Washington, DC, but it could impact all four of the criminal cases against the former president.

In the filing Friday, Trump’s attorneys also noted Justice Clarence Thomas concurrence to the decision, questioning the validity of special counsel Jack Smith’s appointment. Trump’s attorneys argue the concurrence “adds force” to motions Trump has filed against how Smith was appointed and funded.

Ailine Cannon has dismissed the case against Donald, asserting that Special Counsels are illegal.
I don't know what to say.

Justice Denied

The classified documents case against former President Donald Trump has been dismissed by Judge Aileen Cannon, according to court records.

The judge ruled that special counsel Jack Smith's apointment was unconstitutional.

"The Superseding Indictment is DISMISSED because Special Counsel Smith’s appointment violates the Appointments Clause of the United States Constitution," she wrote.

Third World Country? The USA is now officialy one, except that its size is so ponderous that it doesn't fit the mold.
I think perhaps CA, TX and FL should secede, then we can have FOUR proper third world countries.

The fix is in among the Supreme Court, Trump-appointed judges, and the MAGAt (formerly Republican) Party to install Trump as dictator and gut what is left of democracy.

Judge Cannon has got to be the worst judge ever to make the Federal bench. And I must warn you, I have no idea what I'm talking about. :D

Regardless, after she got humiliated by the Appellate Court, one would think she'd shy away from grandiose rulings. Is she even able to make this ruling? It isn't as if this is some Ken Starr investigation that after 36 months they found Trump had a document in his possession illegally.

If SCOTUS allows this to stand, it might be time to leave.

In a ruling Monday, Cannon said the appointment of special counsel Jack Smith violated the Constitution.

“In the end, it seems the Executive’s growing comfort in appointing ‘regulatory’ special counsels in the more recent era has followed an ad hoc pattern with little judicial scrutiny,” Cannon wrote.
What I don't get is that SCOTUS kind of gave the Exec Branch a Star Power powerup. And now she rules they don't have power.
