Mitch McConnell Gone?

Is he wearing makeup in that photo because other recent photos show him to look significantly older and a face significantly more lined?

Hard to say. Sometimes I look in the mirror and I see a guy who is five years older than the same guy in the mirror the previous day. Things like lighting, grooming, viewing angle, sleep, etc can make a big difference. Also, photo resolution. I remember when high def flat screen TVs first came out, news anchors were horrified because now every wrinkle and blemish was front and center, compared to the old CRT standard def TVs.

Yes, CPR and a long hospital stay are well known for their rejuvenating effects.

My first thought on seeing that picture of Mitch alive was "that looks like AI".

The thing is, it's almost impossible to know these days, but there are hints, one of which being that it seriously looks like his left eye has somehow "lowered" in his skull compared to its position in the other image @ZiprHead posted.

Not to mention the smile, the lighting profile, and a bunch of other stuff that feels subtly "uncanny".

At this point, though, I think it's appropriate to demand a picture taken from a camera that signs its images at the chip layer, because you can't trust images anymore (as if you ever could, really).

I've never seen anything but a slack, stupid, hollow, almost dumbfounded expression on the man's face.

I would want to see flight records for his wife, I would like to see a picture of that room while he's not in it, and I have some concerns about the resolution of the photo.

And honestly, why "release" a photo. Just allow a reporter in and give a statement on film. Supposedly he "wrote" his statement and supplied a photo? COME ON.

The few pictures of that fellow I have seen in the last few years always remind me of a stunned roo in the car headlights.

It's time for him to draw stumps me thinks.

To be fair the CPR and a hospital stay will be rejuvenating compared to when they were admitted.

He should go out and come back a few times; he’ll look like a teenager.
Dove, Sharp, and Rudicell funeral home, in North Vernon Indiana, has a team that could have him looking like a '70s porn star by tomorrow.

Sound like a firm of solicitors or accountants

Nah, they're decent folks.

He has been falling down and getting lost when sneaking for years.

AI Overview
Former Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell went silent and froze mid-sentence during a press conference in July 2023, an event captured in widely shared news clips. He paused for about 30 seconds and was escorted away, later stating that he felt lightheaded before returning to take questions from reporters.

AI Overview
Senator Mitch McConnell has experienced multiple documented falls in recent years, often complicated by his lifelong mobility challenges from childhood polio and advancing age. The exact number of total incidents is not definitively tracked, but several high-profile falls have been reported:

Our government is hopelessly screwed up.

I am very glad I am a lot closer to the end then the beginning, I will not see how this all plays out.

Young people, you have my sincere sympathy.

That photo I posted of Mitch and his wife is a fake.

Which means the death watch is back on.
What is your source for that claim? Last update on Snopes (from yesterday) is that its not confirmed one way or the other (also definitely not AI, though).

Snopes says definitely AI, but that McConnell's office didn't release it.
Huh? It says in the Snopes article its not AI.

ETA: Actually, re-reading it, the article seems to contradict itself about whether its AI. C'mon Snopes, get it together!!
