The last time idiots got all up in arms because of the "take a knee" protest, at least a few people came into the store saying they were buying Nike shoes to burn. Hehehehe. And, Derec, we Americans are supposed to have free speech, so I can hate the flag as much as I want and still be an American who realizes that my country has both positives and negatives. My free speech allows me to criticize my country and its symbols when I feel the need. I just think that flags are outdated symbols of blind patriotism. If I want to fly a flag, I'll fly my freak flag.

Why the fuck does anyone here even care what Nike decides to do? It's a marketing thing, and they are trying not to use any symbols that many of their customers might find offensive. It's Nike's decision. If it backfires, that's Nike's problem. You don't like it? Then don't buy any Nike shoes. Who cares!

The statement is not based on reality for a number of reasons. First, leftists do not claim the USA is the crappiest country. Second, leftists do not necessarily want the USA to become Russia or Venezuala. Third, the immigrants may also be choosing to enter the US because it is the best and easiest country to come to, not the universal best country.

There is nothing wrong with criticizing your own country when you think it's done something immoral. That doesn't mean you don't care about your country. It means that you want your country to do better. I think that's a lot more worthy than simply accepting whatever any president tells you. There are things that I love about my country and there are things that I hate about my country. It's sort of like a line from a jazzy love song, who's title I can't recall right now. The line is something like this. "Even when I hate you, it's only because I love you." That is exactly how I feel about America. If I hate it, it's because I want it to be better, because I love where I live and I care about my fellow citizens. What good is free speech if you can't exercise it in an effort to improve the living conditions of your own country. I suppose that I might make the claim that anyone who supports Trump is either ignorant due to a lack of understanding, greedy because they only care about tax breaks, or they simply hate the country and want to see it become a lot worse than it is now.

And, excuse me, but I think communism and socialism are terrible systems that have failed every time they have been tried. Who are these so called leftists that you refer to? The windbag was discussing condom failure rates. He gave the correct in-use failure rate without units. He then went into a hypothetical about condom failures--treating that failure rate as per incident when the number was actually per year. Then he (still as a hypothetical) jumped to treating failure as catching a STD.

Everything was true or a hypothetical, a listener who didn't realize what was going on would be left with the conclusion that condoms were useless.

Is it any wonder they behave that way? They're being manipulated by experts.
