Off to New Zealand tomorrow (12/11)

The missus, myself, daughter and SIL are off to NZ.
I have not been since 1985 and they have never been. Sadly only 2 weeks. Will not be long enough.

Don't burn the place down whilst I am gone.

Lovely country! I really enjoyed the week I spent in Auckland and Wellington as a young man. It's sort of like California, if we had a sheep majority instead of a cow majority and drove on the wrong side of the road.

Been enjoying the time with the bros in NZ
The LOTR set was a good thing to see. Had rain most days but not much. An unseasonal cold snap has hung around. Snowed down to about 900m. Visited the Dark Skies project at Lake Tekapo run by the Uni of Canterbury. Jet boating on the Shotover river. Saw Mt Cook for 1st time.
