I remember someone complaining about the new series being woke and I had to remind him that Star Trek TOS INVENTED woke.

Saw someone trying to complain about 'wokeness' in Trek, but then said they were 98% for their political messages, it was a matter of the writing.. Which makes me wonder why they didn't just say it was a matter of bad writing. A character from the new Dr Strange movie had a comic a few years ago. The comic made me hate the character, not because the comic was 'woke', but because it was so badly written. Guess the assholes out there have successfully redefined the word for most people so they don't think it means what it was originally intended to mean.
