Surprising good news from the White House.

 
White House cites Washington Examiner citing White House (Sec of Ag) who says egg prices dropped.
 
Where I live, egg prices are definitely not lower than before Trump took office. That is, if one can even find eggs at all. The trick is to go shopping early in the morning because the limited supplies are all gone later in the day.

For shits and giggles I checked how much we are now paying for eggs. Doug bought an 18 pk of large eggs yesterday, paid $8.89. Back in the Biden administration, I actually looked at the price per egg. Doug is lazy and wanted to buy the big package, 18 instead of a dozen. At that time, about 3 years ago, the eggs were $.26 each in the 18 pk. About $5.00 dz, somewhat less. Now, it's closer to $7/ dz.
I really don't care. We both like eggs, boiled eggs make an easy and healthy snack, and I am only feeding two. Back when my mom was feeding a family of eight it would have been a big deal to her. Trump pricing would have forced her to cut back on other stuff.
