I actually have a bit of a problem with Snopes--they're biased in favor of authority. Too often I have seen them treat the official pronouncements on something as inherently accurate when the question was whether the authorities were not telling the truth.

I actually have a bit of a problem with Snopes--they're biased in favor of authority. Too often I have seen them treat the official pronouncements on something as inherently accurate when the question was whether the authorities were not telling the truth.
But they will at least explain the basis of their conclusion.
