Reflection Pool-Gate

It also shows the level of rot and delusion in GOP faithful. I have friends in common with Davey. Paddlesports is a small world. Most of us see the truth of what the GOP is doing to him to try to salvage their ego and avoid taking responsibility for this gritty debacle.

But a couple, including someone that was on the national team contemporary to Davey, are convinced that the GOP obviously has real evidence against Davey. These guys trust the GOP that much. Trump basically shoots somebody in the middle of 5th avenue everyday and these people are here to tell you why the shootee deserved it.

They can seriously look at the drained pool with a liner that didn’t stick because of improper installation and conclude that their acquaintance and former friend is a deranged lefty that vandalized it.

You used to see a sign in a lot of shops, it didn't matter what kind, that read, "We offer work that fast, good, and cheap. Choose two."

"Coatings" is a combination of engineering and chemistry. Whether it's wallpaper, paint, varnish, or bedliners, getting a coating to stick to a surface, or the other coatings that are added, is a very complicated process. Temperature is always a factor. I wouldn't be surprised if June in Washington DC is a bad time to mix epoxy in large batches. There is a whole new set of complications when the job can't be done in one sweep. The line where new coating meets previous coating is a different chemical process. For best results, it helps to know what your doing, which includes telling the customer that it can't be done in the time allowed.

The entire Reflecting Pool scandal is just a capsule of Trump's shortcomings as a manager and a walking Dunning-Kruger case study. He wanted it done quickly and that was all that mattered. When the wheels, or in this case the bedliner, started to come off, he looked everywhere but himself to blame. This meant someone had to be arrested. Of course, the people Trump put in charge of that part of the government forgot they would eventually be asked to present some evidence. They show up in court and have to admit the piece of pool liner they allege was violently ripped up, is now in a landfill in Virginia.

Yes the pool is very symbolic of everything that is wrong with Trump and the sycophant GOP.
It really is.
I hope it's featured in lots political ads.
"Want this country to wind up this (aerial photo of pool)?
If not, then vote for [insert candidate]!

Let's keep perspective people. Tyranny is wearing a face mask during a viral epidemic... not people being charged by the Federal Government over very dubious stuff to save face over a botched rehab project... or you know... killing people.

People don't give a bleep about the reflection pool. They care about grocery and gas prices... and apparently data centers.

Grift, failed military ventures, quid pro quo are simply too complicated to care strongly about... and those things don't impact their grocery and gas prices... except when they do, but that is too complicated to explain to most people so...

*black and white* GOP Senator supported data centers! *black and white*
*color and happy music* Democrat doesn't like data centers. *color and happy music*
Vote Democrat who approved this message.

Sometimes I think the USA has the government it deserves.

A penny for your thoughts.
Turn the reflecting pond into a willing well.
And will work with the newer zinc pennies, too.

So the Department of InJustice has dropped its case against David Hearn, having just discovered that he didn't actually do anything wrong.

Hearn’s attorneys said in a statement reacting to the decision, “The Trump administration’s case against David Hearn should never have been brought. Its dismissal today does not erase the abuse of government power in arresting and charging a patriotic American who did nothing wrong. The government’s approach was ready, fire, aim. The administration owes Mr. Hearn an apology.”

I'd say that he is owed much more than just an apology. In a sane world US Attorney Jeanine Pirro would have been fired long ago. But it's not a sane world in Trump's government.

It would be interesting to see someone calculate how much money and tax paid resources have been wasted on Trump's revenge prosecutions.

I think that attorney's fees plus pain and suffering would be at least $2Million for Hearn.

I think Mikey Flynn got about that. Hearn should get $20m.

I hope Hearn sues the shit out of all involved, especially Blanche and Trump.
