Soon #ResistanceRadio, the campaign’s sponsored hashtag, spread like wildfire on Twitter. Some Trump supporters seemingly mistook it for an anti-Trump radio station and expressed their displeasure. (Amazon founder Jeffrey P. Bezos owns The Washington Post.)

Every time I compare right wingers (by which I mean both libertarians and conservatives, who I swear are totally different) to fascists, the right wingers get their panties in a wad and start crying. Then after whining about how mean I am for comparing them to fascists, they turn around and do something like this.

I have learned now to double check everything I see on the net. Apparently these clowns haven't got a good bullshit detector and don' bother to check rumors.

Dumbass reactionaries and dupes.

That's why they whine about snowflakes. It's projection. Hard to find a larger group of whiny bitches.

Why should they be any different than their beloved leader?

If I listened to ABC, CNN and a spoof I wouldn't know the difference as they would sound pretty much the same.

The reason you wouldn't be able to tell is because ABC, CNN, and a spoof do not stop people from questioning.

However, certain kinds of ideologies serve as machines that churn out more people who don't know how to question anything, so what else should we expect?

You gave us your "method" for distinguishing truth from fiction recently. You might want to reevaluate that method to find some insight into your problem of discernment.

I know, right? How can anyone trust a "news" source that won't even report on Obama's secret weather weapon? Those stupid libtards will believe anything! Libtards are so gullible, they probably think Sandy Hook was real! BENGHAZI! Bowling Green massacre! Wake up, sheeple!!!!!!

[/Satire]

Correction: almost anything.

Obama's secret weather weapon is the one and only conservative theory I have seen conservatives and libertarians (who are totally different, I swear!) reject, but the majority I have talked to do indeed reject that particular conspiracy theory.

I'm pretty sure a fair number of them also reject the "Obama's secret Muslim ring," but I'm not sure.

Oh lordy me - thank you for the [/satire]. I thought it was REAL!

If I don't use that or some other kind of similar marker, people get confused and angry. A lot of people (myself included) will miss obvious sarcasm if it's text only.

Wow, what an insightful observation.

You've figured out that people who make a parody try hard to make it sound as authentic as possible. That's kind of the point of a spoof or parody, that it's easy to see who or what they're spoofing.
Do you have problems following the cold open for SNL because it doesn't clearly say SATIRE in a banner across the bottom of the screen?

Actually, he does have a problem differentiating satire from the real thing. like here

yeah, and the difference between "probably" and "probably not".

Probably also means probably not.

I doubt it. Equivocation on this very subject is what's helped cause this "fake news" problem in the first place. Very much like thoe that were equivocating Hillary and Trump as pretty much the same this last election. Even our first month after taking office blows that out of the water. Rather explosively, at that.

Liberals are exactly as bad because they don't believe that Hillary is running a child sex-slave ring out of a pizza restaurant!!!! How Gilmore can they possibly be? I swear, those libtards will believe anything!
