IF the Dems do take control of the House after November AND Mueller releases the report after the election, be prepared for the report to be classified during the lame-duck session of congress and Ways ans Means ability to look at IRS documents to be withdrawn.

If they can do these things the Dems can undo them when they are in power.

Yup. But there will be a 3-month rampage of destruction by the GOP, to create as many problems as possible so they can't all be fixed within the remainder of the Cheato Regime's tenure.

Trump's firing of Sessions and promoting of unconfirmed Whitaker seems illegal. The reason for firing was obstruction of justice. The reason for promoting also obstruction of justice. While there is some flexibility a President ought to have in emergency situations to put a temporary person in charge of the DoJ, this simply isn't one of them. And usually the temporary person has to be proved qualified anyway by the Senate in some related function which this guy never was. So this isn't an emergency promotion, it's a biased obstruction, and likely unconstitutional.

Interestingly, Maryland is challenging this possibly unconstitutional promotion in some way.

Almost as if Cheato is trying to communicate to Mueller that he is immune to charges obstruction of justice due to the backing of the Republitard Senate.
One would think that even the most hardcore among McConnell's sheeples can't help noticing that they've tied their dinghy to a sinking ship, and will eventually want to cut themselves loose from it...
February 2019 is going to be a verrrrrry interesting month!

So what if Trump committed obstruction of justice? So what if the appointment of Whitaker was unconstitutional?

Surely you don't think America is still under the rule of law, do you?

Speaking of Russia, the guy who ordered the botched poisoning in the UK has died of complications from a long illness which he hadn't had before yesterday. I believe that the official cause of death has been listed as "Complications from lead poisoning combined with excessive cranial leakage".

Next time Putin orders a murder, the target better fucking die.

Putin can be awfully rough with assets that are no longer useful to him. No wonder Trump is getting so desperate.

In Trump's defence it appears to be brilliant business plan.
Sater told BuzzFeed News today that he and Cohen thought giving the Trump Tower’s most luxurious apartment, a $50 million penthouse, to Putin would entice other wealthy buyers to purchase their own. “In Russia, the oligarchs would bend over backwards to live in the same building as Vladimir Putin,” Sater told BuzzFeed News. “My idea was to give a $50 million penthouse to Putin and charge $250 million more for the rest of the units. All the oligarchs would line up to live in the same building as Putin.” A second source confirmed the plan.

Meh. It's old hat. What presidential candidate DOESN'T offer a personal gift of $50,000,000.00 to the head of an adversary government while that government is trying to perpetrate fraud in order to get the candidate elected? Standard procedure, right?

I was under impression that Putin liked Trump so much that he would have made him POTUS for free. Besides, deal never materialized, I wonder why.

This seems small person to person, but when you look at it in the aggregate, it again gives the impression that some very shady stuff occurred, because yes, they ALL lied. Including the President's son... and the President who dictated the White House letter on the meeting in Trump Tower.

If he did that, he'd have had no leverage/kompromat. As it is, Putin knew very well that Trump had been lying to his drooling followers about his "Russia Project" during his entire campaign, and Trump know that Pootie could have dropped the bomb on him at any point. Now, that bomb is somewhat de-fused by Mueller. Trump's behavior going forward will give us a clue about whether there is additional kompromat that is still in play - peepee tapes etc.. Care to guess whether that is the case? :)

It is hardly a kompromat, and hardly worthy to be called a lie. Trump can say that negotiations is not a dealings. Chris Cuomo gave that excuse.

Ooops! I guess THIS answers that!

Russia publicly rejects Trump’s attempt to cancel meeting with Putin. Uncle Pootie - still in charge!

It is hardly a kompromat, and hardly worthy to be called a lie.

Yeah, it's just a case of perfectly legal outright deception. Good thing Pootie has lots more where THAT came from!

From 2019 on there is going to be a long conga line dancing from the Trump White House to federal prison.

Warm up your conga drums you snarky, smirking bastards!

Trump demands stiff prison sentence for his ex-lawyer Michael Cohen, accuses Mueller of seeking 'lies' from witnesses

  • President Donald Trump on Monday called for his ex-personal lawyer Michael Cohen to receive a stiff prison sentence for his admitted crimes.
  • Trump accused Cohen of making up "stories to get a GREAT & ALREADY reduced deal for himself."
  • Trump also accused special counsel Robert Mueller of seeking "lies" from witnesses about Trump, and praised his longtime associate Roger Stone as having the "guts" to withstand pressure from Mueller's prosecutors to "make up stories" about the president.

President Twitler McCrazyPants is an irrational emotional thinker. He's lashing out and being retaliatory or at least wants to be retaliatory. He doesn't know how to protect himself legally and this just makes him look even worse.
