First KFC brings back the Colonel and now it's the Bernie surge!

Second consecutive poll shows Bernie Sanders closing in on Clinton in New Hampshire

Hillary Clinton may be facing much more of a fight than she expected in New Hampshire.

A new poll from Suffolk University is the second in two days to show Bernie Sanders surging among the state's primary electorate — it shows him just 11 points behind the frontrunner. Another poll from Morning Consult, released Monday, showed Sanders 12 points behind Clinton.

Is this just Dems dabbling with the young and dynamic proverbial breath of fresh air that is Bernie before settling down to the eat your vegetables/get off my lawn type that is Hillary?

Or is it a sign they have recently remembered they have principles and Hilromney represents everything they despise?

You know Dems are in trouble when their idea of "young and dynamic" is a 74 year old Socialist.

I don't think it was a Dem who made the statement "young and dynamic" with regard to Sanders, but then again, perhaps dismal switched parties within the last hour or so.

Do you think Walker, Bush etc would prefer to run against Sanders?
Of course! They would get all the moderates.

Some of my conservative friends are find out that when they fill out those candidate quizzes, Sanders is popping up as the candidate they most identify with making them take a second look.

the further-out candidates for both sides of the political spectrum always have someone that the media latches onto as "giving a real fight" to the more centrist candidate - every presidential election cycle in my lifetime has had this.
it's nothing more than the fact that primaries are where the people who have no shot in hell at winning the election get a bunch of news coverage.

One thing I've always respected Repubs for is their tactic of choosing, or attempting to choose, their opponents.

It is a difficult thing to realize but Sanders is not far from the aspirations of MOST AMERICANS. Your idea of moderate of course is someone who swallows all your shitty capitalist ideas without the Nazi uniform or Aryan Nation haircut. Your philosophy appears to be circumscribed by extremely old ideas..from the middle ages, voiced by the young and beer drinking Jeb...an equal clown to Dubbiya.

Absolutely! Some advice: don't buy any bridges or real estate from your conservative friends! They are coning you!

Well that depends on who the Repugs nominate. If it is someone like Carnival Cruz, Sanatorium, et.al. then all bets are probably off on which pill the middle would take...

I know dismal is not a Dem, but he summed up how the Dem base views Bernie quite well.

Sanders is a moderate. An actual one.
