It's sad when such little things like enslavement and rape drive people to criminal behaviour. :(

I agree.

Poison is much more efficient.
How is poison non-violent?
"Death/incapacitation by foul play" is not equivalent to "violence."

There are many subtle ways to efficiently incapacitate your enemies. Poison them, blackmail them, bankrupt them, or shatter their careers and force them into obscurity. Poison is really just the least sophisticated of the non-violent solutions, but it is a REALLY effective way of escaping from slavery.

And I never knew dismal was pacifist.

He's not. He just has a dismal sense of humor.

Amirite?

Hmm... From a causal responsibility and physics standpoint of "physical force" component of violence, I don't think their is a meaningful difference between shooting a bullet so it enters a persons body and does damage versus engaging in physical acts to cause an object (poison) to enter into another's body via their mouth that does equal or more physical damage to their body than the bullet.

If poisoning is not violence that almost nothing is that doesn't entail direct physical contact between one's own body and another's (in fact stabbing wouldn't be violence).

I'm surprised nobody on here has used this as an argument to legalise sex slavery.

OK, take this with a grain of salt given that accurate information from ISIS-controlled territory is hard to come by.

Of course, part of me wants to cheer if this is true, but that still doesn't make up for her enslavement in the first place, and likely she has been killed by now. :(

If true, I'm glad he got his just desserts, but I'm sad it had to happen to her at all. They not only kidnapped and raped and tortured her, they eventually turned her into a murderer. Something I'm sure she never wanted in her life.

Such assholes. ISIS men never get it. If they have to kidnap women, force them into slavery to be their wives and dozens of women would rather die than live as their wives, creating a shortage of women and thus the slaves have to 'marry' multiple men...perhaps their lifestyle isn't appealing to women?

Ya think?

How about changing?

Dude, you make it sound like its their fault and not hers. WTF?

Last month, the UN confirmed an Islamic State sex price list, which is offered to fighters and other men trying to purchase sex slaves – some as young as one.

What is truly horrifying about all of this is that what ISIS is doing is appealing to some women. They have become very good at recruiting clueless pampered Muslim women from Western countries who even fly down there to be part of the "action."

Even with all the crazy shit that these clowns get up to, I'm very skeptical about this.

The article seems to me to make it clear that this is very sketchy info, so you are right to be suspicious. It could be true, or it might be some cooked-up fantasy of some minority group in the region that has been preyed on by ISIS.

I suspect there's a translation mistake on that. AFIAK Islam doesn't permit sex until puberty.

Ya, it's also a religion of peace and probably has some negative things to say about burning people alive. What's your point?

If some dudes want to bang a one year old in exchange for killing people who have a problem with the ISIS leadership pocketing all the oil money in the region and living like kings, the ability to bang one year olds is worked into the philosophy.

There are certainly plenty of Muslims who are against child marriage, and there are probably plenty of Muslims who insist that marriage not happen before puberty, but there are also Muslims arguing in favor of prepubescent marriage:

Islam is a large religion, and like Protestants, there is no ultimate authority on theological matters, so there are bound to be a wide variety of theological opinions on any topic, so we shouldn't make broad generalizations such as the one you made.

On a side note, the Masked Arab is one of my favorite ex-Muslim atheist commentators. The more public Muslim apostates like Ayaan Hrsi Ali or Cenk Uygur are more well-known, but I love that the Masked Arab digs into incredible detail when countering Muslim apologetics. Ali and Uygur mostly just make moral appeals about the consequences of Islam, while the Masked Arab carefully and thoroughly dismembers apologetics arguments.
