¡Socalism Success in Venezuela!

Do you know how many starving kids there are in capitalist Haiti?

In capitalist Guatemala and Mexico?

Capitalism is a system that is very good for some and very bad for many.

It is not close to utopia or perfection.

It is a shitty immoral system that breaks down constantly.

Capitalists have nothing to crow about. The immoral distribution of wealth is nothing to crow about.

If anybody is well off in capitalism it is sheer chance and has very little to do with ability. Mostly due to the parents one has and the location one grows up in.

Total lying scumbags that want to steal from others do very well in capitalism and they are seen all over thriving in capitalism. The president is the poster boy for American capitalism. The face of American capitalism. American capitalism in human form.

Capitalism is a system that rewards the worst traits in humanity and harms the best.

Good things happen in spite of the inequities and lack of opportunity for many in capitalism. They happen mainly because of anti-capitalist activity.

There is capitalism and socialism. And then there is corruption which can or not take place with either form of government. If you take out ALL the corruption, free market capitalism is probably better than socialism because it places the pricing of goods and decision making at the local level.

But I will agree with you that there are some horrible examples of capitalism that are completely corrupted. And that kind of capitalism is hardly any better than corrupted socialism. Corrupted anything sucks.

Capitalism is organized corruption.

It is trying to take as much as possible from people for as little as possible.

It is trying to pay workers as little as possible.

The only system fit for humans is a system that tries to pay workers as much as possible.

Capitalism is not fit for human consumption.

Then how do you explain Henry Ford raising wages to $5/day when everyone else at the time was half that amount? Ford was a capitalist but he was an un-corrupted capitalist. He was a capitalist who believed in adding value to everyone in society regardless of who they were. Everyone benefited including Ford himself. Those kind of people are actually still out there but really really hard to find now days (maybe Costco?).

IMO Ford style capitalism is the absolute best the world has ever seen. It was a rare event, but the fact it has happened means that it can and should be repeated again today anyway it is possible to do so. With the right kind of capitalism everyone really does win.

According to Henry Ford it was so people could afford to buy his product.

It worked for Ford because he had a product that he knew if he sold just enough of them - even if most were to his own employees at first - would go from novelty to commodity to necessity in people's minds very quickly. The iPhone did something similar. Try Ford-style capitalism with products that don't have that kind of universal appeal, and you're doomed.

One guy who paid his workers a fraction of what they deserved? But it was a slightly better fraction than most.

That is the best the world has ever seen?

Insane!!!!

There is nothing free for most in capitalism.

Most are trapped doing things they don't want to do.

Most are stolen from.

Most have no power to shape the society they live in.

When Sowell talks about freedom he is talking about the freedom of the master.

The freedoms that most enjoy are freedoms unions gave us and freedoms violently opposed by capitalist scum.

So apparently Sowell was spot on about you Utopian planners being despots.

He is talking about NOBODY.

He is an idiot howling at the moon.

What he calls utopian thinking is any thinking that wants to deal with the sick inequities of capitalism.

Sowell is a religious devotee to capitalism. A devotee to greed and despair. Not a thinker.

Capitalism is an artificial system based on the worst in humans. It was created by the worst humans to serve them like princes.

A good system is one based on morality and the best in humans and the equal right of all to life.

Capitalism is good and decent people crushed and taken advantage of by the worst.

It is a sick insane return to the jungle when that is not necessary because in the jungle the strongest can take advantage of the weakest.

Capitalism is not fit for human consumption.

In other words the only system fit for humans doesn't exist.

In practice, socialism pretends to be for the worker but in reality is looting for those at the top until the whole thing comes crashing down.

Work in Ford's plants was a lot harder than similar work elsewhere because the assembly line means you have to keep working constantly until an official break time comes along.

It has routinely been claimed that he did it so his workers could afford his product but that's not how it really happened.

You do understand that at one time capitalism didn't exist?

And what I propose is socialism but only in the sense that the needs of all in society and how to supply them are a priority.

But what I see as an ideal society is far far away.

What I see as a baby step in the right direction is the elimination of capitalist dictators and the mentality that supports dictatorship in the capitalist variety. The rigid, extraordinarily rigid top-down dictatorial corporations, that control governments and rule the planet.

Capitalism is the default if you have no redistribution system, thus it inherently comes first.

And your answer doesn't even address my point.

Capitalism is the default...

It is the default nothing.

It is a corrupt system based on theft and the reduction of humans to a commodity to be tossed into the trash when they do not serve the masters properly.

It is a man-made system of master and servant.

One baby step from master and slave.

And only exists because it is cheaper than slavery.

In capitalism the master does not have to care one bit for the health of the slave. Just throw a defective part away and get a new one.

Those that sing the praises of capitalism would be singing the praises of monarchy if born into it. They would be cheering dictators if born into it.

They have no ability to objectively examine things they were born into. They are blind to the immoralities and injustice of the system they were raised in.

This is common and represents a common ordinary intellect.
