No, their problem is they are too ignorant and believe any nonsense about Bernie that he or his camp or his other followers say about him, number one being that the “establishment” is out to destroy him because his message is too pure or the like.
They have deified him such that no adult discussion can ever be had regarding his gross and profound failures, his devastating lack of appeal to core Democratic voting blocs or even the most basic obvious problems with a “New York Commie Jew Landlord” who wants to steal your money to pay for his kids’ college as a candidate against Trump.
He doesn’t have the black vote; he doesn’t have the female vote; he doesn’t have the conservative (read: Christian) Democrat vote; he doesn’t have anywhere near the majority Democrat vote. The ONLY consistent bloc that supports him in any significant numbers are the younger voters WHO DON’T ACTUALLY VOTE.
On top of all of that, he’s once again refusing to get out of a race he has lost twice now, for no other purpose but to serve his own ego and his devotees are praising him for it because they all believe—believe—he is doing it as an ideological crusade and not for the actual reason. They are all duped and the last time that happened, it resulted in a devastating civil war and Trump in the WH.
IT IS THEIR FAULT WE HAVE TRUMP. You need to let that sink in. Had Sanders bowed out gracefully when he LOST—which is at the exact same time frame as right now—and joined in the REAL fight against Trump, it is a near certainty that Clinton would not have lost the WH. No bitterly divisive civil war; no Russian weaponization of the Sanders zombie campaign; no attacks from Democrats against Democrats; no endless false equivalence bullshit about “establishment” and “outsiders”; etc.
A focused campaign against the true enemy, Trump, which is ironically EXACTlLY what Bernie Bros were all arguing WE should do in regard to Sanders.
First of all, what are you talking about? Second, millions of Bernie Bros were saying Trump is Hitler and that women should be believed.
WTF does any of that mean? Are you seriously trying to blame Democrats for why 12% of Bernie Bros voted for Trump?
What remarkable creatures these pure and innocent Bernie Bros must be to be SO overwhelmed by Democrats telling them the truth and warning them about REAL politics and how profoundly stupid they must be at the same time to believe THEIR OWN ATTACKS against Clinton more than they could see through Trump.
See, when you use a Sanders propaganda word like “establishment” as a pejorative, you’re instantly discrediting your own analysis. There is no such thing as an “establishment.” That’s a spin doctor’s term when running the underdog strategy. You don’t even understand how the Sanders camp is manipulating you—and others—into buying their marketing plan as nakedly as you are accusing the “Clintonite Democrats” of doing.
His marketing plan is “promise them unicorns” and “start conversations” and “I’m the outsider/underdog/anti-establishment candidate” who has been a part of the establishment for twenty years and never got anything accomplished and actually the one that keeps going further right, not pushing anyone to the left.
Talk about hypocrisy! But we can’t, because to Bernie Bros, Sanders is Jesus.
Not a single thing on Sanders’ platform is left of what Democrats have been fighting for ever since the turn of last century; since Kennedy at least. NOT ONE SINGLE THING. His platform IS the Democrat platform, only with slightly modified wording, yet the Bernie Bro campaign—the people behind Sanders—have been extremely adept at spreading the IMAGE (the messiah) as if he alone created the platform.
And the only reason it’s taking hold is because they targeted the most ignorant among us; the young who have no clue about politics and never paid any attention until marketing spin doctors promised them all magical unicorns.
And they STILL didn’t actually vote!
The implication being that only Sanders is honest and does not engage in political hyperbole? Do you really want to die on that hill?
The “particular issue” that a resident pretend Bernie Bro is making an issue, in spite of the fact that his guy has already lost the race and should be bowing out and JOINING Biden to fight Trump?
That’s not what is going on here. What is going on here is a (likely pretend) Bernie Bro is attacking Biden and accusing him of being a rapist. To put it into your terms, in the after math of Sanders’ defeat, a “Sandersite Democrat” (at best) is spreading vicious propaganda against Biden that can only serve Trump.
That Sanders has been used by the Russians—and continues to be used by the Russians—as one of their assets in the continuing war against America is well documented. Sanders has not only repeatedly acknowledged it, he famously just dismissed it with a, “I don’t care who they are backing” comment, completely ignoring the fact that it wasn’t a simple statement of preference they are making, but instead a highly complex and still clandestine weaponization of the entire campaign.
Much like where you might see a pretend Bernie Bro posting accusations of rape against Biden long after Sanders own campaign has failed (twice) and yet Sanders still stays in the race.
It’s all I do. You should join me and perhaps learn something because this particular analysis of yours is so off course and gets so many things so wrong it’s hard to know exactly where to start or end.
How about this: If Sanders truly were the shining beacon of integrity and honesty plus a bag of chips that his devotees claim and you portray, then when he found out the Russians were—once again—using his campaign as one of their assets, he SHOULD have immediately bowed out right then and there. Instead he dismissed the entire affair with a cute sound bite about not caring who they prefer. But of course, that wasn’t the issue. It wasn’t who Putin personally wanted, but who Putin would weaponize and whose followers would be weaponized and how a previous attack was devastating and Sanders KNOWS this just as he knows that Trump never did anything about that attack and the fact that the Russians have gone unhindered since and exponentially grown that operation.
Again, Sanders KNOWS this; and by “this” I mean so much more than any of us know about how massive the Russian operation has become in its unchecked state. So let’s put that into a perspective lay people can understand. Sanders was just told that Putin has rewired Sanders into a human dirty bomb and Putin holds the triggering mechanism. And Sanders’ response is, “I don’t care who is holding the triggering button, I’m still going to be around people.”
See how that misses the fundamental point of being told that you’ve been turned into a dirty bomb? The issue is that when detonated you’ll kill millions—NOT who may (or may not) be holding the trigger—so for the good of those millions you’d better get the fuck away from them. His response was, “Nah.”
That’s NOT what someone with genuine integrity would do.
