The Gish Gallop is effective because it only takes a minute to post a link to a blog or a Youtube video and demand "refute this or I win the argument". For every minute the galloper spends posting bullshit claims, it takes anywhere between ten minutes and several hours to explain why the argument is bullshit.

I won't view or respond to sources that aren't verified as credible. Generally that leaves both YouTube and blog sources on my ignore list since they generally spout opinion supported by very sketchy evidence. Yup. That's my opinion and my firewall. Don't like it? Well, don't post similar and I won't post this.
When I want an opinion I'll do my own research and arrive at one. Others not willing to provide evidence and their own interpretations of that evidence are a waste of time.

Northwest Passage opens, bleaching corals, thawing permafrost. Years don't go by without setting monthly long high temperatures.
But let's look at 50 "incorrect" predictions from the last 60 years. Those predictions negate that the Northwest Passage is open now... and the corals aren't bleaching, the permafrost isn't thawing (waiting to dump methane into the atmosphere). Doc, I can't have cancer, my podiatrist twenty years ago was wrong about a diagnosis.
But let's look at 50 "incorrect" predictions from the last 60 years.
