The Race For 2024

I think it will come down to whether or not Biden can roll around in the mud with Trump in any debates

Biden is getting aggressive in trading trash talk with Trump, but maybe too little too late.
Maybe.
But his "performance" with Hillary has not been forgotten and Biden and his team have had years to prepare. Including debate moderation that actually does their job. Trump will probably refuse to accept.

Then Biden can taunt Trump all he wants for being such a pussy.
"Maybe Trump can't join us this evening because he's got a support group meeting to attend."
Tom

But that is point.

Moderation will not restrain Trump. Biden needs to get on stage with Trump and belittle him. Really get ugly, like bringing up his multiple marriages and adultery. His business failures. Having sex with a porn actress and covering it p.

It does not take a psychologist to see Trump has gone over the edge to full scale Looney Tunes.

Multiple reports say he is going berserk with rage in private. Push him over the edge on stage on camera. That is what I would do. Push him to a breakdown.

Remorseless attack on his business problems and his image of a master businessman.

Rip his heart out.

I don't know that Biden would want to lower himself, suffer the indignity of being seen on stage with Trump. What you're talking about sounds more like a political ad or two or three or more listing Trump's failures and corruption.

He is doing it, but not enough.

If he wants to keep Trump out of the WH he will not do it on policy or his claimed accomplishments. He has to knock Trump off his pedestal.

I seriously doubt Biden is above getting down in the gutter when he has to.

Behind the scenes, Biden has grown angry and anxious about re-election effort - NBC News - "Biden locked up the Democratic nomination last week, but looking ahead to the general election, anxiety has seemed to increase."
President Joe Biden was seething.

In a private meeting at the White House in January, allies of the president had just told him that his poll numbers in Michigan and Georgia had dropped over his handling of the war between Israel and Hamas.

Both are battleground states he narrowly won four years ago, and he can’t afford any backsliding if he is to once again defeat Donald Trump. He began to shout and swear, a lawmaker familiar with the meeting said.

He believed he had been doing what was right, despite the political fallout, he told the group, according to the lawmaker.

Asked about the episode, Andrew Bates, a White House spokesman, said: “President Biden makes national security decisions based on the country’s national security needs alone — no other factor.”
He ought to recognize that unlike his predecessor Harry Truman, he has hundreds of thousands of Arabs among his constituents. Also that a lot of people turned off by mass murder and indiscriminate destruction.

Biden strikes me as intelligent enough to recognize that. He is a seasoned politician, but he is also the leader of a very diverse constituency. So to get reelected, he has to balance a lot of competing interest groups, only one of which includes pro-Palestinian (or anti-Zionist) Arabs and non-Arabs. He can't win the next election just by catering to the concerns of one group. What caused the tantrum, IMO, was the frustrating constraints under which a US president has to operate.

A president can't base a foreign policy on popularity alone, especially if that policy involves US national security. The alliances with Muslim countries are extremely important, as is the alliance with Israel. So Biden has committed to a fraught policy that is not only dangerous for US security, but also for his chances of winning reelection against a truly dangerous opponent. If our Middle East policy collapses in shambles--something that appears increasingly likely, given Netanyahu's unwillingness to cooperate with the US--then Biden will have a much more difficult time in defeating Trump. And, if Trump gets back into the White House, then US national security, not to mention international security, will be a lot worse off than it will be with just a failed Middle East policy. Trump is very much a danger to the country in many ways, not the least of which is the ease with which hostile foreign nations can use his weaknesses to manipulate US policies.

Andrew Bates' remark about basing national security decisions on the country's national security needs begs the question of just what those needs are. There are not a lot of options that Biden has to keep us all safe, but the election cannot be ignored without also endangering national security.

And his followers will lap it up like the dogs they are.

Video in the link.

Score 1, Biden.
I read this and thought, I would kill to see Trump in a yarmulke. So, over to google, and ...he did it, and there are photos up. There he is, in 2017, touching the Western Wall and wearing what he probably calls a Jewish beanie. You can tell he's been told he should touch the wall; what I think he's actually saying to himself is, "I could put siding on this heap and flip it."

Guy sez he is a multi-billionaire.
Needs to “find” a tenth of what he says he is worth. Can’t find two sticks to rub together.
Fucker has collected more than this from his rubes in the last few years. He couldn’t have spent it ALL on hookers.

WHERE IS IT.

A lot of it went to blow.

More like Imodium and adult diapers. This fucker doesn't drink, and if he did blow, I don't think he could produce even the word salad he spews out now. Trump on cocaine would sound like...Trump on cocaine. There'd be no comparison outside of an Alzheimers wing.

I’d like to see Kamala Harris do this job. Biden stays above it, but it gets done. Ad after ad after ad.

The number one conservative moron shredder is Newsome. Maybe we can arrange a tag team debate. I want to see Orange ManBoy in an orange speedo.

I'd also like to see Harris running the show when the Electoral College makes the final decision.

She won't let some insurrectionists get in her way. She'll probably be packing heat.
"Lissen up, dumbasses. I'm not taking prisoners here..."

Man with horned headdress: Okay, lady! Would you mind not pointing that thing at me? (To jackholes behind him) : We're outta here. Let's go hang Mike Pence, for the hell of it.

I wanted to wait until California's votes were fully counted before making any statement about Super Tuesday.

In that state's Republican primary: Donald Trump 79.2%, Nikki Haley 17.5%, Ron DeSantis 1.4%, Chris Christie 0.8%, Vivek Ramaswamy 0.4%, others 0.2% or less.

I must note that he has a certain problem with eligibility: he was born in Turkey.

Feed starving Gazans with one hand while giving munitions to Israel with the other. When that doesn't bump you in the polls, yell and swear some more.
I do not see the contradiction. Munitions are necessary to fight Hamas, while Gazan civilians need the food. However, the biggest problem is distribution. Right now, aid trucks are either looted or commandeered by Hamas.
That is a problem. A much bigger issue is Israeli intransigence in letting aid theiugh in a timely manner.
Evidence?

Because the crossing wasn't saturated last I knew. The aid doesn't get through because of Hamas and it looks like also looters and you blame Israel.

Now you admit that you agree with that statement.
I often answer questions, Jason.

Not in my experience. But your refusal to answer my questions is your proof that I don't answer questions.

I have a question I asked you a few months ago that you still haven't answered, and bragged that you weren't going to answer.

Gee @Jason Harvestdancer I asked you three questions six years ago and you wouldn’t touch any of them. That’s how you landed in my “ignore” list.
Funny how that works, eh?
