Trump tweats new conspiracy theory

There's a question of who was Nunes's source, even whether it came from someone at the White House. Now we know he met his source at the White House. It's all very suspect, especially that he would be running to Trump with this like he works for him.

That's the thing, why meet on the White House if the source isn't at least already on board with the White House? I get the feeling that Trump already "knew" what Nunes was "shown" and still apparently hasn't shown anything to his committee.

Curious if the "intelligence" he was really shown was of a compromising nature.

So it turns out the speculation was correct, Nunes's sources were White House officials.

2 White House Officials Helped Give Nunes Intelligence Reports - The New York Times

One was a former Nunes staffer, the other one was brought in by Flynn.
And quite incredibly, almost immediately after this breaks, the White House has invited the other members of the House Intelligence Committee to view the information. What they will find is that no laws were broken and some gray wiggle room was used to indicate who was being talked about by Russian or foreign operatives.

So what we have is confirmation from the White House that Russian operatives were dealing with the Trump Campaign. Their bluff is likely to backfire big league.

Why? Well, we start getting into Watergate territory. Trump may not have personally known about the collaboration (maybe), but he fired the acting Attorney General. If he had this information in hand before firing her, this becomes paralleled to obstruction of justice. The White House attempted to quell an investigation and may have helped blow it open.

Also, wapo has reported that the FBI obtained a FISA court warrant to surveil Carter Page because of probable cause that he was acting as a foreign agent. Last summer.

But of course, the FBI needed to tell us about Clinton's email server investigation.

In an absolutely unsurprising update, other members of the House Intelligence Committee from both parties say that nothing in the documents that Nunes saw show that Rice did anything improper or out of the ordinary, despite Trump's claim that she did something illegal. I'm sure that Trump will be tweeting out an apology any time now.
How much more lying is deemed allowable without censure?
