Trump's swamp

Donald Trump’s White House was “awash with speed” and Xanax, a former official has claimed, with staffers reportedly routinely taking stimulants during late working sessions.

Former senior administration officials told Rolling Stone the prevalence of drugs in the administration was an open secret.

It comes after a Pentagon report found that the White House Medical Unit distributed controlled substances without much oversight or diligent record-keeping.

The report, by the department of defense’s inspector general, also noted that investigators found the White House unit had ordered thousands of doses of modafinil, a stimulant used by military pilots to stay alert during long flight missions.

While the report, released in January, did not explain the high number of stimulants dispensed, four senior administration officials claimed it was to enable staffers to handle the unique stresses of the job, or for energy boosts to cope with the long hours.

The White House was “awash in speed” at that time, one official told Rolling Stone.

Here is the original story in Rolling Stone:

Trump’s White House Was ‘Awash in Speed’ — and Xanax

During Trump’s presidency, two sources say, senior staffers would repeatedly down Xanax with alcohol. Such a combination increases the risk of “serious, life-threatening side effects,” according to the National Library of Medicine. Nevertheless, senior officials would use Xanax and alcohol together to soothe themselves while enduring the sky-high levels of stress that come with working at the highest pressure environment job in America — with the added pleasure of serving the whims of the infamously volatile, intemperate Trump.

As one former senior administration official puts it: “You try working for him and not chasing pills with alcohol.”

So Ronna McDaniel has stepped down. Will the RNC do as Trump wants and place Lara Trump at the helm of the party and the party can pay Trump's fines?

She’s co-chair with Michael Watley.
Woopdee doo.

The Party doesn't remotely have that kind of cash on hand. They've already spent a good deal on his lawyers.

Lara Trump is in! So what is the over/under on how long until the RNC is bankrupt?

article said:
She emphasized that shortly after she was voted in, taking time in her inaugural speech as co-chair to hold up a check for a $100,000 that she said had been contributed that day to the party. When asked by a reporter later, she declined to say who wrote the check.

Hey, five THOUSAND more donors like that and they can pay Trump's judgment and start working on his lawyer bills!
:hysterical:

So she held a check up for people to get the account holder, account and routing numbers off of? Why didn't she hold up their Social Security numbers as well?

Trump’s team is promising not to use the RNC to pay his mounting personal legal bills.
And if you can’t trust Trump on financial issues who can you trust??

Trump White House aide Steve Bannon loses appeal of contempt of Congress conviction

A federal appeals court on Friday unanimously upheld the criminal contempt of Congress conviction of former Trump White House senior aide Steve Bannon for refusing to testify and provide documents to the House committee that investigated the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol.

The appeals court rejected Bannon’s argument that he was not guilty because his attorney had advised him not to comply with a subpoena from the House committee.

The ruling by a three-judge panel on the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit makes it more likely that Bannon will soon have to begin serving a sentence of four months in jail for his conviction of two counts of contempt.

An attorney for Bannon said he will now request that the full judicial panel of the D.C. Circuit hear his appeal again, which might postpone his jail term.

Donald Trump's youngest son, who is still at high school and largely shielded from the public eye, will debut on the political stage in July as a delegate at the Republican Party convention.
Barron Trump, 18, will become the latest member of his family to step into politics when he joins his siblings in representing Florida at the event in Milwaukee.

Jesus Christ, they aren't even pretending anymore.

He declined. I believe his official statement was, "I don't wanna." He wants to dedicate his entire summer to insulting the house staff.

Speaking of Barron, Trump got the judge to let him off the day of Barron's graduation. Now Trump has scheduled a fundraiser for that day.

He sure pwned that judge!

Just how much contempt can an individual show to a court, before the judge sends him to jail for contempt of court?
Depends how many SCOTUS judges the individual owns. Anything that could excuse an acquittal on appeal will do.
