Twitter likely to take idiots offer to buy them for $43 billion

What's the point in labor lawsuits? It's unlikely there will be any value by the time such a suit was won.
Well, potentially, there could be some rich and powerful lawyer opposed to Musk and knowing he could win who could take on employees as clients in a class-action suit. After all would be said and done the lawyer could make a pretty penny and get a decent reputation, but of course the employees wouldn't get much.
You're missing my point--I'm saying that there's no point in such suits unless there appears to be value to pay a judgment if the suit is won.
I'm not missing it. I agree and repeated its true for John Q Citizen. Not everyone is realistic enough to realize that and a lawyer could get such people to sign on to a class action.
You're still missing my point. Winning a lawsuit does you no good if there are no assets--and why do you think there will be any assets in Twitter years down the road?

The location and identity of all aircraft in the US is public information. Just like posting the home address of the US president isn't doxxing either.
Disagree--it's quite possible to fly a plane from A to B without it being public information.

However, to operate above 18,000' you have to cooperate with ATC and it becomes public. Likewise, to operate in the airspace near any major airport (pretty much, to operate in/near any big city) you have to cooperate with ATC and it becomes public. Out in the middle of nowhere and below 18,000' those rules don't apply, so long as the air is clear enough for visual rules operation you can simply fly somewhere without talking to anyone. It's not the best idea but it's legal.

Vertical integration.

Doxxing gets you suspended.
Doxxing is only okay when left-wing journalists like Taylor Lorenz do it.
LOL. Funny how uncritical you two are of Musk.

Mentioning other public information such as the contents of widely published newspapers and public statements from government agencies (like police departments) isn't doxxing either. In this particular Elon tantrum, the source for the story mentioning Elon's location was ... a tweet from Elon Musk!!
This whole doxxing thing lacks merit if he hasn't banned those who dox (doxxed) or target (targeted) childrens hospital doctors or the families of mass shooting victims as well as people like Ocasio-Cortez.
Wut?

You fail to understand that the account tracking Elon's jet was relying on public information.

Here's all the birds flying around Las Vegas: https://www.flightradar24.com/36.12,-115.28/8#

(it used my location--you can move the viewpoint.)

Dude, his child was threatened. This gaslighting that his suspension of the doxers came out of the blue, for no reason, is incredibly dishonest.

Yup. I recall a cross country trip with drunken hack pilot who literally fell out of the plane after landing uninvited in some poor farmer's field in Kansas ... nobody died, but if we had, they might still be looking for us.

The question I have is "Why would someone do that? Why would anyone post that kind of information?"

I can't think of a legitimate reason. Sounds more like stalking to me.
Tom
Exactly.

Yep. George Takei's post telling people he could be found on Post was edited with some bullshit that the link was dangerous.

Musk is showing that he's just as much a lying, snotty little baby as Trump.

I can understand one platform not allowing competing platforms to be advertised on their site.

Musk is apparntly fearful of assassination. He banned reporters for allegedly violating his policy of posting location of peole.

He exclaimed "Assassination coordinates for me".

Paranoid with delusions of grandeur.

We are doomed.

What do you mean "we"? I'm not flying anywhere with Musk.

One should also remember that Musk has claimed to have bought Twitter in order to restore free speech to the platform. Since he has been there, all he has done is to ban people and speech that he doesn't like or considers threatening to himself. He's OK with inviting in people and speech that other people dislike or consider threatening, because the people being mistreated and threatened are not him or people that he cares about.

So, I mean, there's that.
