The "changing times" of say Clarkston, Ga is all the way back to the 7th century. Due to all the Somali and other radical Islamic "refugees" who were settled there , you see a lot of burqa/niqab clad women everywhere!I guess that's a step too far, though, because it shines a light back upon the domestic conservatives and their own inability to assimilate with the changing times.
Now, you're bashing Clarkston, a town that is proud of its diversity and immigrant population? Ever go to the Dekalb Farmer's Market and see all those wonderful, hard working immigrants who speak at least two or more languages? Has there been any violence in Clarkston related to Islamic refugees? I sure haven't heard of any. Not that I give a shit if women want to cover themselves up, but in all the many times I've been in the Clarkston area, I've seen one woman in a burga and maybe a dozen wearing traditional Muslim head scarves. Why is that a problem? I really don't understand your fear. Women in the US are free to dress however they want. There are plenty of Christian sects that require women to dress very modestly, and have you noticed all the ultra conservative Jewish people living in Dekalb county? Those women dress extremely conservatively too. I think all of these religions are nutty, but I also support freedom of religion, as long as the believers keep their beliefs out of government. Conservative Christians are the only ones who try to impose their beliefs on the rest of us, and their numbers are far higher than the small percentage of Muslims in the country. Plus many Muslims in the US are moderate or liberal. Some Muslim women don't even wear head scarves. Like all other world religions, there are many different interpretations of their scriptures. Just because people may have different cultural habits, doesn't mean they are a threat.
