Conservatives are always telling us that we have to judge entire races and religions based on their worst, and apply collective punishment based on the same. We even denied entry to a baby seeking medical attention simply because the baby's parents were of the same religion as many terrorists.

So what collective punishment should be applied to all Christians in response to this like this (which sadly is not an isolated incident)?

Should we start deporting Christians?

Should we ban immigration from countries that are known to be Christian?

Should we talk about keeping a national database of known Christians?

Should we make Christians wear some kind of identifying badge in public?

Should we instruct intelligence agencies to investigate all churches?

What collective punishment would be appropriate for all Christians? It is clear from the video that all Christians are vicious, subhuman savages... provided we use and accept Christian logic from last arguments, which I don't. I just want to hear what special pleading fallacy conservatives will use to insist that these arguments should apply to Muslims, but not Christians.

But.... they are shitskins...

But seriously. this could be based on punishment for a theft.

I have seen a crazy video from Brazil of guy getting knocked out and then thrown off a bridge into a river because he was a thief.

I don't know Portuguese. What is the reason the person was killed?

I google translated some of the comments and they mention Jair Messias Bolsonaro, running for president in 2018. Wiki says he is a conservative dickhead (in so many words) and his attitude is maybe borne out in the action of the video.

The irony here is that if they are under 18, Bolsonaro wants to raise punishment for crimes of minor greatly. So maybe stuff like this will get the serious time it deserves even for teens.

They also murder thieves?

I had no idea Christians are that savage. Clearly, whatever collective punishments we apply to all Christians should be more harsh than whatever I was thinking. Now we have established that all Christians are murder-happy monsters, what collective punishment should be given to all Christians in response? I think we should definitely ban immigration into America by known Christians.

Come on Underseer, it is because they are brown. The melanin turns them into murder monsters.

The Nazis weren't brown. Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols weren't brown. The Army of God wasn't brown. The common element seems to be Christianity, so the collective punishment needs to be applied to Christians. What collective punishment should Christians be given?

They do? This entire thread is predicated on a straw man.

More interestingly, I did not know there is still aol.com. :)

#NotAllChristians.

Christianity is a religion of peace and these small groups of radical extremists who are using a false interpretation of the faith do not represent the religion as a whole.

So you are willing to publicly speak out against fellow conservatives who try to judge entire races and religions based on their worst?

If you yourself made such arguments, are you prepared to admit that you were wrong?

Translation: "Trans people scare me."
Your universal translator is broken.

What do you mean "fellow" conservatives?

If you yourself made such arguments, are you prepared to admit that you were wrong?
I have not.

Christians are savages no doubt.

72% of Americans supported the US invasion of Iraq.

And many, mostly Christians, still do.

I am confused. Brazil is the Trans capital of the world. It's like all they got.

I mean... the act of removing hair from your asshole is called a BRAZILIAN for fucks sake.

You see, Derec, this is a clever example of sidestepping. You COULD have just said 'Trans people are fine, and good on them for doing their thing; I don't have the time to advocate for their cause because I have my own things, but I don't get in their way either', 'yeah, I'm OK with telling conservatives who bring it up that it isn't OK to broad-brush people', and 'If I had, yeah, i'd have been wrong when I did that'.

I don't think it is side-stepping for Derec not to respond to Underseer's and Elixrr's bullshit insinuations of being anti-trans.

It is hypocritical of any poster who routinely accuses posters who do not explicitly reject disgusting acts or views to accuse those posters of condoning those acts or accepting those views.

Hypocritical it may be, but that doesn't make it wrong. And it certainly doesn't make the insinuations any less bullshit.
