Well... it's Trump... again. #47, here we go.

How given how much the Trump Administration lies and how much they would love to abolish Habeas Corpus, and the Constitution hasn't been amended since 1992, why would there be a new coding error.
Maybe they changed from JS to Python? As an example
Indeed. If they had switched to Python, the constitution would have to now include:

Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony. You can’t expect to wield supreme executive power just ’cause some watery tart threw a sword at you! I mean, if I went around saying I was an emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they’d put me away!

Now you are just letting your aminus to ChatGPT run riot.

Another sad Gem by Borowitz.
I think there might be something to that. In general people with domain skills are careful with language when talking to those without, but sometimes mistakes are made in evaluating what the listener will understand. And all too often I've seen the listener upset about such incomprehension. He's the greatest so I would expect him to be quite bothered and people are going to assume adults know basic math at least to the point of being able to use a calculator.

A shared familial intellectual deficit may something to work around in a normal blue collar environment, but it’s pretty alarming in the most powerful person in the world.
YMMV, and apparently it does, for some 70 million American fucktards.

And Trump judges continue to protect tyranny. SCOTUS nearly ruled ACA was unconstitutional... but the Executive Branch can rush and try to deport people a court says can't be deported.. along foreign affairs grounds?!

article said:
A split appeals court panel tossed out a judge’s contempt finding against President Donald Trump's administration on Friday in a case over deportations to an El Salvador prison.

The decision comes after planes carrying Venezuelan migrants landed at the prison even though U.S District Judge James E. Boasberg had ordered them to return to the United States.

....

But the divided three-judge panel in the nation’s capital found that Boasberg had exceeded his authority and intruded on the executive branch’s foreign affairs powers.

Tin soldiers and Nixon coming,
We're finally on our own

Seems to be the status quo now. This is unbelievable.

And things are even worse than they seem. The appellate court ruled that the case was not within their jurisdictional influence.
decision said:
We grant the appellees’ motion to dismiss the appeal for lack of appellate jurisdiction. See Cohen v. Beneficial Indus. Loan Corp., 337 U.S. 541 (1949); I.A.M. Nat’l Pension Fund Benefit Plan A v. Cooper Indus., Inc., 789 F.2d 21, 24 (D.C. Cir. 1986). The panel is unanimous on this point
This means the Trump appeal is gone.

BUT WAIT...

It is 2025 and thanks to SCOTUS deciding technicalities only matter when convenient, two of the justices decided to rule on it anyway.
decision said:
The government has sought review of the probable-cause order by way of appeal and mandamus. There is no basis for interlocutory appellate jurisdiction. Nonetheless, mandamus is appropriate because the government is plainly correct about the merits of the criminal contempt, and our saying so now would prevent long disputes between the Executive and the Judiciary over difficult, contentious issues regarding the courts’ power to control foreign policy or prosecutions, or to impose criminal sanctions for violating injunctions entered without jurisdiction. In circumstances much less fraught than these, courts have reviewed interlocutory orders through mandamus to prevent extended inter-branch conflict.
WTF?!

IRS Head Billy Long steps down.

Being the head of the IRS for a few months means he must have an economics background. Wait..., no, he was auctioneer, then was a state legislator for a while.
Well, at least he has an educational background in economics. Wait... he never graduated college.

Wait WHAT?!!?

He graduated from an Auction School?! And he got confirmed. Well, hopefully this isn't a stepping stone to the Fed Board.

What a joke, this guy. And he's the 6th IRS head this year!

Mr. Long, a former Republican congressman and staunch ally of Mr. Trump, is expected to be nominated to an ambassadorship, the people said. It is unclear who will next lead the I.R.S., which has had six different people in charge this year. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent will serve as acting commissioner until a permanent replacement is in place, a senior administration official said.
....
Over his short tenure at the tax agency, Mr. Long, a former auctioneer, traveled to meet with I.R.S. staff across the country and appeared at a National Auction Association conference. He placed two top I.R.S. officials on administrative leave, amplifying a post on social media about the need to “purge” the agency’s work force.

At the same time, he has also repeatedly sent emails to all I.R.S. employees allowing them to leave work early on Friday afternoon.

“Please enjoy a 70-minute early exit tomorrow. That way you’ll be rested for my 70th birthday on Monday!” Mr. Long wrote to staff on Thursday.

Trump wants to hold meeting with Putin in Alaska.

WTF?! Alaska is the former Russian territory that was sold to the US after Russia bankrupted itself losing the Crimean War and wanting weaken Britain who kicked their butts in the Crimean War. What in the hell is Trump (Putin?) signaling here?
