Even with the safety gear, this would be absolutely terrifying for most. Impossible for me!

I’m okay in a harness to a point. They really are secure. And I guess the “hug” effect is somewhat comforting.
What is very uncomfortable is a bucket truck/man lift. I guess it’s just the openness of it all. I remember when I changed out the parking lot lamps to LED. Horrible feeling of not being in control.
Water tanks are fine. I worked atop one at Yosemite.

I can’t stop watching his videos. The production from BBC, his voice and cadence, sense of humour, it’s just so entertaining.

Ya, I worked from heights in harnesses, swing-stages even untied when I was young and stupid, but that free climbing at the top is next level.

I have a hard time watching this kind of video, since I have a real fear of heights. But ... here's another interesting one:

I enjoy the WW2 videos and I found a channel that posted the memoirs of Japanese officers, using text to speech software. It was interesting to see the view of the other side. The problem is, there's a small number of memoirs and fewer that are translated. The last video I saw was about a captured officer who was held on a US aircraft carrier. Very unlikely. The officer was describing the luxuries American sailors enjoyed, including daily mail delivered by helicopter. I had to take that channel off my list. AI is an unreliable narrator.

More on the height thing. These people were amazing. Not a cable or harness or safety device in sight. I can only assume these guys didn't drink on the job! And I damn well hope they were well paid, but probably not.
