1. rabies is not sexually transmitted.
2. The guys in question certainly had other options for sexual release other than bestiality. Including but not limited to masturbation or sex with each other.
3. Bestiality is not confined to areas where extramarital sex is discouraged.
4. The news source is highly suspect.
5. Some members seem to need to ridicule or denigrate persons they see as 'other,' for reasons I don't understand but given how often such incidents relate to sex,I am beginning to suspect that there is a connection.

The thing that makes this kind of story so much fun is that people will do this sort of thing, and stupid is not really that big a factor.

Strom Thurman once admitted in an interview to having sex with farm animals, when he was young. He said it was very common. I would like to find the reference, but late in in his life, it was revealed the life long segregationist had sex with black women and was the father of a black woman. Such things need both donkeys or the like and a lack of accessible women. Thus I think there would be more in such places than here.
