This is a great lecture with the eminent Ronald Hutton. The whole series of lectures are good. But this is the most general and basic one.

My favourite quote "spiritualism mainly appeals to those who see and hear things others don't". Wonderfully factual and non-judgental way to, perhaps, call them a bunch of loons

I've enjoyed his lectures, especially the one about the history of nudity. He successfully contradicts Mark Twain, who said, "Clothes make the man, naked people have little influence on society."

Hutton is perhaps the most accomplished of modern historians of the esoteric, his work has genuinely reshaped the approach of my field to analyzing historical Hermetic practices. His master work, "The Triumph of the Moon", is one of my favorite books. The Eliade of the British witchcraft revival.
