I remember seeing this guy live in around 95 or so. Unlike the images in this video, there were no super models. My date for the show was a single mom named Hilda who lived in a house under I-10 in El Paso.

But it was a great night. And I completely blew it with Hilda.

About twenty five years ago, I saw the Doug Anthony All Stars at the Tivoli Theatre in Brisbane (one of their very last live shows), and they performed a cover of this one as part of the show (amongst other Aussie classics).

I literally nearly died laughing. I seriously couldn't stop for long enough to inhale. If I had had the lung function then that I do now, I would have been hospitalized.

I still can't hear H&C without a chuckle.


That Paul McDermott is a VERY bad man.
