U.S. House Democrats to introduce impeachment charges against Trump on Monday -sources

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives plan to introduce new articles of impeachment against Republican President Donald Trump on Monday, calling for his removal from office, two people familiar with the matter said on Friday.

The sources said the articles, which are formal charges of misconduct, were crafted by Democratic Representatives David Cicilline, Ted Lieu and Jamie Raskin following this week’s assault on the U.S. Capitol by Trump supporters.

Anyone want to make guesses on how long it is before he takes back his speech from yesterday? After all, he only made it because he was told it would be a get out of impeachment free card.

I know the NFL playoffs begin this weekend, but why not sooner?

Pretty sure the promise was a 'no 25th' card. The hope was no impeachment.
And that's still a threat.
I know if I were in Pence's position, I'd have shown him a copy of the letter stating I thought Trump was unfit. A copy. "The original is in the hands of someone close to Pelosi. He or she puts a date on that and hands it over, you're out.
"Now sit the fuck down..."
No, this is Pence.
"Now sit on your gol-durned hands and shut up. You're gonna tweet, disavowing the gol-durned riot, you're going to promise prosecution, and you're going to cconcede the mudder-flipping election. Then you sit here with your sharpie, adding names to your pardon list until they come to disinfect the building for President Biden. Got that, sir?"

Then, if he tries ANY shit, Pence texts, "Nancy, today's date."

He already regrets it.
