Here's why. Even the most ludicrous confabulations about Trump, such as this one

are mistaken for being real on account of his past behaviour.

 I saw that

I immediately knew it was fake, however, because the quotes attributed to Trump were spoken above a kindergarten level

It's a perfect illustration of Poe's Law. To illustrate Poe's Corollary, Fox has announced they are launching a real Gorilla Channel.

Ridicule is "proof" that he is being attacked "unfairly".

You want to attack him effectively, stick to the issues, and you'll confuse his supporters. Call him a Cheeto and you'll give them the "evidence" they need.

I'm still not convinced he really is a Republican instead of a Democrat.

You are correct that ridicule is taken as proof that Trump is threatening the establishment. Which is what his supporters voted for him to do.

Finally we have a president who is running government like a business. Unfortunately, he is running it the way that he runs his business.

Of course he is a Republican. He is fully dedicated to the proposition that all of the money should be in the hands of the very wealthy, people like himself. This is the very core of the Republican philosophy and the party is populated by the wealthy who believe it and the non-wealthy who believe that the wealthy deserve to have all of the money.

If you click on the link in the OP you can find out yourself.

Where is the verification that it is true?

It's not true. The point you are missing is that, with Trump, almost anything is believable because we have seen some pretty unbelievable things about Trump in the past that are true.

It is difficult to ridicule Trump for two primary reasons.

1. Trump is so over the top that he ridicules himself by his mere existence and is indistinguishable from parody. You can never be sure. This works both ways. The truth seems like parody and parody seems like the truth about Trump. Its really hard to tell the one from the other with this man. The man really could have claimed his TV was broken because it didn't have the Gorilla channel. He really could be sitting up near the TV and encouraging the Gorillas to hit each other. It was a parody, but totally believable because it is Trump.

2. The illiberals have gone so far over the edge that the left in general has lost a lot of credibility by association.

Is that it? Hearsay about gorillas?

I was all the way into the third paragraph before I realized.

For me, the "tell" was the transmission tower that was supposedly built on the White House lawn. Why would anyone even need to do that?

For me, all news about King Buttercup remains in a state of true/not-true possibility until I hit something definitive either way.

Over the weekend Gorilla channels appeared on 3 different streaming internet streaming video sites. No antenna needed.

It is hard to ridicule Trump because we live in a society that only values the superficial and worships wealth.

In the society we have constructed and accept, with it's morality and value system, Trump is a huge success.

US society does not value honesty. It does not value intelligence. It does not value thoughtful consideration.

It values accumulated wealth and power.

That is why teachers are paid so poorly and treated so badly. This is a reflection of the insane US value system which is completely centered around accumulation.

The US is polluted and corrupted thoroughly by modern capitalism. The beauty of Trump is he represents capitalism in human form. That is what capitalism looks like and behaves like.

I find it difficult to ridicule Trump simply because he is a god among men.
