So, the Snake is subtle and talked Woman into breaking the only rule God saw a need to put down at the time.
She talked Adam into joining her and breaking the only rule they had.
So, Snake and Woman are the ones that got Adam in trouble with God.

God made Snake and Woman enemies so they wouldn't gang up on Adam.

Why didn't God create enmity between Adam and Woman? Wouldn't that have been more fitting? Then she couldn't get innocent Adam in trouble any more, he'd know not to listen to the conniving bitch.

Instead he forced them to make nice and be a couple. Why?

Because then men got a 6000 year run of being able to blame women for everything we did wrong.

On behalf of God, you're welcome.

Why punish newly formed/borne babes, Adam and Eve, who have not yet learnt about the consequences of their actions with such a heavy penalty anyway. Wouldn't a smack on the bottom and their favourite treats withheld for a week be sufficient?

Ugh. Stupidstition. This is "Christendom," not the whole world. All cultures respect snakes, but not all demonize snakes and imbue them with the trait of "evil."

So they could do the nasty thing they were never to know about. God couldn't think of any other way for them to make offspring.

Since Woman was Adam's clone, he was already the Mother of All Mankind. And i've read far too much MPREG Fanfiction to think that it's a difficult idea to come up with...

It's difficult to write GOOD male pregnancy if you're a virgin who doesn't know much about his own internal plumbing, but the editors have always been rather kind to Jehovah.

Yes, exactly, except God knew that all that shit wasn't true and that woman is the bringer of life and so he had to get them to "know" each other so the actual creation of people could happen.

Funny thing is, when god said not to eat of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, Eve wasn't even created yet.

She heard it 2nd hand from Adam apparently.

Because then men got a 6000 year run of being able to blame women for everything we did wrong.

Or justify keeping women as property when the first verses of the bible clearly said they were made together at the same time which implies equality.

Seems like some cultural editing was done.

Plus, most ancient cultures revered the snake as a symbol of wisdom, protection and eternal life.

Worship of various goddesses also included snakes as symbols of the female divine.

So snakes turned out to be the perfect creature for the ancient fundamentalist Hebrews to demonize to make a distinction between their religion and their pagan neighbors.

Or not at all, or heard it differently.

The snake only spoke with Eve, according to the myth.

Also, why didn't Adam and Eve just eat from the Tree of Life first? Then they couldn't die. Next, they could have eaten from the Tree of Knowledge. Checkmate. No need to go further. The Bible would have ended with one sentence in Genesis 3: "And they lived happily ever after".

Considering that in the story woman was created to keep man company. Gods not a sadist in this story, so...

I think it's appropriate for Eve to initiate the loss of innocence because of the female archetype of birth, in this case an idea ie to eat the fruit and become equal to God.

Because, after Eve ate from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, she told Adam about the the good stuff.

The snake wanted BOTH Adam and Eve to sin - not just Eve.
satan saw them as one flesh both equally created as husband and wife. (satan hates the sacrament of marriage)
And he naturally tries to go for Eve first instead of her stronger partner. (satan the gutless)

...She talked Adam into joining her and breaking the only rule they had.

Note Adam and Eve both acting sinfully in unison. They both had the same command. They both sinned equally. Both committed the SAME sin.

The belated defence of... satan made me do it is irrelevant after the fact. Their free choice was to either do the thing satan suggested or the thing God commanded.

Adam and Eve could have told God... "mind your own business, we will eat whatever we damn well please." Or they could have said to satan..."LOL as if we humans can't decide for ourselves and need a snake give us lifestyle advice"

Adam and Eve made their own decision.

...
So, Snake and Woman are the ones that got Adam in trouble with God.

No. That's not orthodox exegesis.
If Adam was innocent God would not have punished him.

...
God made Snake and Woman enemies so they wouldn't gang up on Adam.

No. That's NOT scriptural.
God speaks of the enmity between the serpent and mankind - both Adam and Eve and all their descendants.
There is no sense of snake and woman acting as accomplices or God fearing that the snake and Eve might collaborate against Adam in the future.

...Why didn't God create enmity between Adam and Woman?

Because it would have been illogical to do so.
God loves them both and He describes the created union of Man and Woman in sacred terms.
And notwithstanding their punishment God does not abandon them.
Just before they leave Eden;

"The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them.”

If Adam was innocent God would not have punished him.
HAWHAWHAW!
That's funny!

This is the god that punishes people for INFINITY for finite sins.
There's no point in assuming there's any sort of justice involved in his punishments.

Oh goody! More The Fall BS. The snake wanted the man and woman to sin. Odd how this is never implied in the least in the story.

If Adam was naive, being childlike, he could not envisage the consequences of his actions. Not knowing 'death' - there being no death in The Garden of the God of Love - Adam would have no knowledge of what death entails.

God told them what would happen if they ate the fruit - death.
Adam was not unfamiliar with the term, even if he (like us) didn't understand it fully.

But until they ate the fruit, they had no concept of right or wrong. It seems a bit off to punish them for doing something wrong when they didn't have the ability to understand what wrong even was.

Mysterious ways, etc. Don't question.
