Will the Hillary Email Scandal Blow Over?

If there is a felony, neither candidates seem to me a strong contender versus Trump. Unless... Sanders learns the exact way how to trump Trump and that's not going to be easy

In any case, if her supposed felony is going to be outed, it better be now, before the primaries are over.

Republican gotcha journalism at its worst!!!1!

Reuters seems to be a part of the vast Republican conspiracy of gotcha journalism as well. A recent story (see link) from Rueters reports that while they have had access to only a very tiny fraction of Hillary emails, those emails show information that is "born classified" - meaning that it is information that is automatically deemed classified in government regulations (whether or not they are marked as such).

Reuters small sampling turned up “at least 30 email threads from 2009, representing scores of individual emails, that include what the State Department’s own “Classified” stamps now identify as so-called ‘foreign government information.'” This information must be considered classified, to protect both national security and the integrity of diplomatic communications.

Also, this group of 30 does not include the four discovered by the IG.

The idea that something starts out not classified and becomes Top Secret later seems a bit silly on its face.

Documents become less secret over time, not more secret. Once the toothpaste is out of the tube there's no putting it back.

True.

By the way:

A federal judge on Thursday said that Hillary Rodham Clinton did not comply with government policies in her exclusive use of a personal email account while she was secretary of state, challenging her longstanding position that she abided by the rules.

At a hearing for a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the State Department, the judge, Emmet G. Sullivan of Federal District Court for the District of Columbia, said that “we wouldn’t be here today if the employee had followed government policy.”

Judge Sullivan also opened the door for the F.B.I., which is investigating whether there was classified information on Mrs. Clinton’s account, to expand its inquiry to pursue emails that she may have deleted. The judge ordered the State Department to ask the F.B.I. to give it any emails recovered from Mrs. Clinton’s private server that were not already in the State Department’s possession or that may be related to the lawsuit....

Judge Sullivan and the New York Times seem to have joined the vast Republican conspiracy...;)

As I predicted, Hillary is cooked.

So she's been indicted? Charged? Has she suspended her campaign as a result of being hauled into court?

I skimmed Drudge just now, and there's nary a peep about Hillary being led away in cuffs. Usually he's on top of these things...

Strawman. As has been stated repeatedly, the email scandal is likely to result in her political demise. Perhaps you are making the daft assumption that only her indictment or arrest could derail her election. Biden and Warren "Wolfsrudel" seem to agree with the pundits, its time for them to move in for the kill of this floundering tanker.

Glug...glug...the SS Thighness is sinking

So her political demise is at hand, then? Based upon what?

Mind you, I'd much more prefer a Biden/Warren ticket, but counting former Secretary/Senator Clinton (or a cheap sexist name as you used) as "cooked" after a "scandal" is daft.

If you'll recall (or not), Clinton has been accused of "scandals" before. Benghazi was supposed to be the end of her political aspirations. As was every single scandal going back to the 90s. You'd hardly be the first to proclaim her career dead on arrival, and you're certainly not the first to take a crude cheap shot at her appearance.

That aside, this political season (or year and a half, actually) is turning out to be filled with smashed expectations. If you'd told me six months ago that the two people sucking all the oxygen out of the room would be a self-declared socialist from Vermont and the host of The Celebrity Apprentice, I'd ask what you were smoking and ask for the number of your connection. It is, of course, still early. We haven't even had a primary yet.

So get back to me when she bows out of the race.

BREAKING NEWS!!!!

Hillary Clinton withdraws from Presidential race!!!!

Or remains the person who'll be the next President. One or the other.

As I predicted, Hillary is cooked. It seems that Biden/Warren tag team may run. Too bad for Bernie if they do, the old socialist deserves kudos for carrying the water for the crafty opportunists.

Not so much.

State Department confirms Hillary Clinton email violated no laws or policies
Of course the State Department said that! We need 6 Republican investigations to have the exact same findings, but need a 7th to find out the real truth because Clinton may have hid something.

While they're at it, they should look into Benghazi. The American people deserve to finally get some answers on what happened there!

The DailyNewsBin is clearly a satirical site. The cartoonish Onion-like article betrays its intent (either that or the site is a Republican front to discredit the left.) Not as funny as "Obama denies ISIS is Islamic", or "North Korea Confirms Divinity of Dear Leader", but still quite entertaining.

Nice try, Max.

Unless you're also claiming MediaMatters (and CNN, the source of the video) are also satire sites?

My tongue and cheek mockery of a shamelessly stupid article has not registered with you fellows. So to be literal, of course that website is serious, and of course it is NOT a Republican plot. And yes, there is a spokes-shill for Kerry's State department who has denied (in his view) that Hillary's actions are illegal. (Yawn).

But my obvious mockery stems from my incredulity that anyone, even a mindless partisan website, could be so loyal to a party line that they wallow in a satirical Monty Python 'dead parrot' defense as persuasive - "this 'dead' parrot's alive merely because we say so...we say its resting...its official.

Read the article, its a nothing burger.

LOL...
Touche. If this were the W Admin, I'd feel likewise. Of course, the Republicans have been investigating Clinton or the Clintons for roughly 13 of the last 20 years. So umm... that'd be the witch hunt we were talking about... in context and all.
