Women on the Twenty

What about Columbia or Lady Liberty? Hell, chicks used to be all over our money.

I think if this going to become a thing we should spare future generations the identity politics and switch to the Canadian approach of waterfowl and moose and such.

That's nothing. The Queen isn't going to live forever and then we're going to start having King Charles on our money. He is not an attractive man.

Definitely time for it. Women have been on our money, but never on our paper money.

Of the women mentioned in the OP, I would like to see either Susan B. Anthony, Alice Paul, or Elizabeth Stanton. I would add Carrie Chapman Catt and Lucy Stone to the list. We could even drop US Grant from the 50, and make room for two women.

All the people on your money are Presidents, so why not just put Hillary on there now instead of pointlessly waiting around?

That has the added bonus that when Bill buys a hooker, he'd pay her with pictures of his wife and this would get a bit of a chuckle, which is a nice gift for a woman who's been dead inside for years and could use a brief moment of joy.

It's time we had minority representation as well. Let's go ahead and put Obama on one, but only distribute them in Texas. That would make for some quality entertainment.

So you would rather have a duck or a moose on the money than a woman?

Hamilton (10) and Franklin (100) were not presidents.

Well, it's best to ditch Franklin for her then. Bill Clinton can afford the expensive prostitutes you pay for with hundred dollar bills.

Also, I just learned that Benjamin Franklin was never a US President - I always thought that he was. That's kind of weird because, according to his wiki page, he apparently did every single other thing on the planet.

You should have elected that guy President.

Now this is an idea I really like.

You know our money has two sides, right? We have that technology at our disposal. You may be disappointed to know, however that the $100 bill depicted on one side a generic female scientist who happened to be Asian. Some people felt this was undesirable as it portrayed Asians in a stereotypical way, so they made the scientist more caucasian looking. This too, was not well-received by some. Then again, I doubt most Canadians could tell you what was on either side of the hundred dollar bill, so I'm pretty sure 99.99% of the population really doesn't care.

On the whole putting people on money thing:

I prefer money with abstract designs or buildings or what not on them.

Some of the old Guilder bills we had before the euro were pure art:

Euro's meanwhile have landmarks and bridges on them:

That said. If you do have money with people on it, there's no reason not to put a woman on there if she's accomplished enough to make the cut (instead of just putting them on there because they're the queen like we used to do).

Not all of them. Benjamin Franklin($100) and Alexander Hamilton($10) never made it to the White House.

When Ronald Reagan died, there was a lot of talk about putting him on the $20, but Ray Charles died a few days later and when it became clear Ray had the edge over Ron, the talk stopped.

I would. We have some kickass animals here in 'Merica. A bear fighting a orca in front of the Bellagio on the back of the 20 wold be awesome. And the 50 could have T-rex shooting Hitler, because guns and dinosaurs.

Funny. I'm sure it had nothing to do with race since we've had Native Americans on the dollar. [/conserv]

The Sacajawea Dollar coin was sort of a dud. She deserves another chance. Maybe we need a $25 bill. There's other denominations to consider. Barney Frank is a natural for the $3.
