I think it would be interesting to make a truth table about this topic. This will not be about empirical science now, that can be be later. For now assume that what is in the table sections is true for the sake of the argument.
The most simplistic table would be only two by two and from there maybe up to a four by four of gradations.
Left to right would be:
left - circumcision is not at all limiting/blunting of sexual sensation and response
right - it is very much a significant reduction
Top to bottom:
top - circumcised man thinks that he is missing out on a lot of sensation and some function (even if more hygeine needed)
bottom - circumcised man thinks he has full sensation and function.
each section of this truth table will have a different result
top left - man with no penis sensation deficit (it does not in this quadrant) chalks up problems to this instead maybe addressing real issues like maybe anxiety or poor health. Or at least thinks he is missing out, which can be a powerful distraction and distractions are bad for sex. This is what many in this thread seem to be saying.
top right - man has real sensation deficit and knows it. Nothing he can do now except try to end the practice for the next generation. But do posters in this thread have an almost sour grapes attitude about this? Better to ignore what you are missing? Or in having it being missing, try to minimize the loss by saying what is missing was not important anyway?
bottom left - not too much to say, except no problems here.
bottom right - man has real deficit and is as oblivious to it as a dog would be.
