It might be worse than that. Israel is attacking political headquarters etc while Trump focuses on the navy and alleged nuclear manufacturing/ballistics/arms etc. So, if the people head to political infrastructure to overtake it, they can be bombed either by Israel or attacked by Iranian government. If they truly want a democratic Iran to result, then they need people on the ground coordinating with air support. The people on the ground also need to be armed. Otherwise, it's slaughter from two sides.

Well, Israel say he was killed when they bombed his residence, and US sources say the aircraft he was in was downed.

Of course, if he was attempting to flee the bombing, both could be true.
