Yet another war, this time with Iran

Trump Admin is being rather adamant that this is a win! A decisive victory. Hegseth has a bridge to sell Trump to save his job. The US has destroyed a good deal of military related sites. Israel killed the Theocratic leader leading to regime "change". The objectives that were never actually objectives for the White House, such as seizing the enriched uranium, actual regime change, making Iran less a threat to Israel and the West not quite accomplished, but they were never really goals, right?

And all it cost were a few military lives, a few civilians, free access to the Strait of Hormuz, and effectively galvanizing the Iranian theocracy. Win freaking win man!

The FoxNews headlines:

I mean, isn’t Trump great! They just caved under his pressure. This is what a great president does.

He deserves a blowjob from every American.

I was thinking last night that Trump agreed to this because Iran would give him 50% of the Strait toll. I was too lazy to post it and now Trump pwned me for it.

article said:
"We're thinking of doing it as a joint venture. It's a way of securing it -- also securing it from lots of other people," Trump said when asked whether he would allow Tehran to charge tolls for shipping to transit the strategic waterway. "It's a beautiful thing," the president added.

All these people who have been dragging their feet about taking back our democracy, and who will be whinging later about how "no one could have known" this would happen, the world will neither forgive nor forget what you have done, nor entertain your pointed, intentional ignorance as a justification for it. You did this. Trump never claimed to be anything but what he was, you sanewashed him into perceived political legitimacy.
That simply is not true. Trump has always claimed to be the peace president. So much so he become famously jealous about the nobel peace prize.

Democrats are now rightfully calling Trump a hypocrite. But MAGA supporters are rightfully calling him a complete betrayal to their values.

As for the Iran war itself, according to Iran, "The real enemy of the American people is not Trump. It is Israel." Considering the US government is ruled by billionaire donors and not the American people, I would not be surprised the least if this war would have started under the Democrats as well. After all, our federal government (both congress and POTUS) is clearly completely and utterly controlled by the Zionists of Israel. Our government works for Israel and not the American people.

All Trump has done is foolishly taken extreme risks to speed the process up that would have eventually happened anyway, This war immediately tells the world the US can not protect allies from Iran. Those who were paying attention already knew that anyway. It accelerates the world becoming multi polar world as opposed to the US being the sole defender of trade routes. The petro dollar is now lost so we will see this pain sooner then later. Which paradoxically I believe becomes a long term benefit to the middle class since the US will be forced to make its own manufactured goods. If we don't get nuked right away, in the longer run, the US will be fine because of our natural resources and ability to produce our own products. Hopefully it will be time for us to stop worrying about Israel and the rest of the world so that we can focus on our own prosperity!

"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me" seems to have been forgotten by MAGA supporters.

Really, why would any rational person believe anything on Trump's say so?

Because the other side was lying just as bad. During the last POTUS election the other side was trying to have us believe Biden was not senile.

When you only have 2 candidates to choose from, voting becomes much more nuanced then "fooling me more than once".

So why didn’t it happen under Biden just a short time ago? Is this a new desire of Netanyahu to attack Iran with American backing? It seems your assertion is demonstrably false.

Isn’t it more likely that it could only happen under Trump, a narcissist easily played by foreign strongmen, who fired all the competent military leaders who would object to this and installed a crusading tv talk show host as secretary of “war”?

Biden wasn’t senile.

What nuances would induce a rational person to pick Trump?

Evidence?
During the last POTUS election the other side was trying to have us believe Biden was not senile.

Evidence that he was or is senile? Oh, I know, none.

How do you like your buddy Trump launching an unconstitutional war that he has lost?

But MAGA supporters are rightfully calling him a complete betrayal to their values.
What MAGA supporters? None whose opinion matters, that's for sure. His cabinet is full of drooling yes-men. His sponsored Senators, Representatives, and Judges occasionally feign neutrality, but they look resolutely the other way any time when it actually matters. Are they ready to impeach and remove him from office? If no, then I don't care what any Trump operative says they believe.

Trump has always claimed to be the peace president. So much so he become famously jealous about the nobel peace prize.
You're not listening to everything he says, if you think it is that simple. He surely thinks he is "making peace in Iran" right now. Threatening genocide to anyone who defies him isn't a betrayal of the plan, it is the plan. It always was the plan.

We cannot compete with younger, more ambitious nations on questions of industrial production. This is simply handing power over to China freely.

A few posts ago he implied Israel made Trump do it and it just as likely would have happened under a President Harris since it’s the Zionist lobbies calling the shots.

Honestly, I don’t give a shit about anything he says. He makes me sick.

Netanyahu fed Trump a line, Trump bit, despite few actually supporting the plan, but all but Vance without the balls to lobby against it. Almost no one would have been such an easy mark for Netanyahu, so no, the Democrats wouldn't fallen for the anti-Semitic trope you are laying out there.
All Trump has done is foolishly taken extreme risks to speed the process up that would have eventually happened anyway,
What... the Kohmeini dying from old age?
This war immediately tells the world the US can not protect allies from Iran.
Protect, yes, we could. We did a decent job. The percent of Iranian missiles that hit targets was very low. Conquer Iran? Not willing to do that.
It accelerates the world becoming multi polar world as opposed to the US being the sole defender of trade routes.
What trade route did the US defend recently? Trump, the idiot you voted for multiple times... he helped Iran weaponize the Strait of Hormuz. That isn't defending it, that is putting it in danger.
The petro dollar is now lost so we will see this pain sooner then later. Which paradoxically I believe becomes a long term benefit to the middle class since the US will be forced to make its own manufactured goods.
ROFLMAO

What a way to spin what just happened. It is like you got none of it right, and it just happened.

Just saw a Victor Davis Hanson interview wherein he claimed the ceasefire is "a major victory for Trump". Needless to say I didn't watch the whole thing.
