Another Fucking Mass Shooting At US School

There is no explosion in crime. There has been an increase in the murder rate since Trump made violence fashionable.
Trump is not the reason Ezekiel Kelly killed four people. Trump is also not the reason thousands rioted in 2020.

The big increase came in 2020, under Trump’s watch. Stats since then don’t show any explosion. 2022 stats are not even available.
Big reasons for that were the pandemic (including early release of prisoners as Oleg mentioned) and the race riot in many cities. Not everything is about Trump, no matter how much the Left wants it to be, and not every thread needs to be derailed with your TDS.

White privilege is “inherent advantages possessed by a white person on the basis of their race in a society characterized by racial inequality and injustice.”
White privilege is exaggerated. There is far more black privilege in today's America. Racial preferences in college admissions and hiring, exemption from having to cut your hair to comply with dress codes, speech codes that allow only members of your race to use certain words. How are these things not privileges?

Black serial killers are rare, but there are some.
They are not that rare. In addition to people like Wayne Williams and others she mentioned, there are William Henry Hance, John Allen Mohammed and Lee Boyd Malvo just off the top of my head.

And the author of your piece says that white people give other white people the benefit of the doubt, but I think that applies much more strongly to black people. I live in Atlanta and there are many here still who believe Wayne Williams is innocent. Not many white people are believing that about Ed Kemper.

In Samuel Little’s case, it appears racism was directed more at his victims than at him.
Even when a black man kills somebody, it's still white poeple's fault ... :rolleyesa:

But the very public shootings of strangers gathered for some shared purpose, like grocery shopping, movie watching, dancing in a nightclub, or getting an education, seem to mainly be executed by entitled, aggrieved, angry white males. Again, white privilege plays a role.

Racist bullshit. Blacks are overrepresented among mass shootings as well. Not as much as homicides overall, but still overrepresented. But it's politically correct to blame whitey, so racist falsehood like this rarely get called out.

Conservative white people have been photographed open-carrying AR-15s and other sorts of enormous firearms
So have blacks.

Black people too often can’t even shop for a pellet gun,
Then why are there so many black people like Quanice Hayes or Tyre King robbing people with pellet guns?
[citation needed] that black people have difficulty shopping for pellet guns. Or real guns for that matter.

That's not what I was saying. They got light sentences for earlier crimes often because they didn't seem like criminals. From there, they moved on to serial murder.
And many blacks get lenient sentences too. Like 3 years (only served 11 months) for Ezekiel Kelly for attempted murder with a firearm. Graduated to mass murder shortly after being released from prison.
Contrary to Liz Lapoint's racist beliefs, not a whitey.

Oh, shit. White Privilege alert. Guy livestreams himself randomly shooting people in Memphis. Cops arrested him alive!

Aww look, its the ole this case = all cases argument. I haven't seen one of these relics on the forum in a while.

Sorry, little one. That doesn’t even pass the laugh test. Your trumpapologism needs work. BIGLY.
Yeah, 1/6/2021 wasn’t in 2020, but the dynamic was in place long before that.

But major Tasteless Points for trying to take a tragedy and score some pathetic rib off of it.
More tasteless than using a tragedy for another stupid attempt to ban so-called "assault weapons"?
They are called assault rifles because long guns like the AR-15 clones are used by the armies of many countries to wage war. The AR-15 type rifle was adopted by the US Army for general infantry use in the 1960s and named the M16, and the M16 variants remained in service with the US military and its allies for many decades. The term "assault rifle" was coined by the Germans during WWII with the development of the Sturmgewehr 44, which solved some of the operational problems with the older Schmeisser (M-40) which saw widespread use in WWII.

They are called assault rifles because they are designed to kill large numbers of people as efficiently and effectively as possible in the hands of the common soldier, while offering superior reliability. While modern assault rifles used by the military offer additional features like a fully automatic mode, which the civilian versions don't (limited to semi-automatic operation only), the civilian AR-15 clone remains an effective killing weapon to this day, known for its ease of use, and its ability to use high powered projectiles that can penetrate commonly used body armor. It is NOT a hunting rifle, it is NOT a sport shooting rifle; it is an instrument designed to kill humans even in the hands of amateurs.

Wow. Even NPR had to acknowledge it.

When you demean cops and the local authorities let the criminals know there'll be little consequence for bad behavior - ya know, for socal justice - what would you expect?

Which states set people serving long sentences for murder and/or aggravated battery free during Covid?

Both are exaggerated. When the majority of Americans aren't in denial that privilege exists we might be able to improve our treatment of one another.
And many blacks get lenient sentences too. Like 3 years (only served 11 months) for Ezekiel Kelly for attempted murder with a firearm.
Yeah, 11 months for attempted murder is insane.

So demeaning of cops and local authorities happened around the same magnitude everywhere
Well, no. The cities that summoned the wrath of BLM suffered a lot worse. I mean,

But, hey! No, there's no spike in crime. It's just a flesh wound.
So crime increased where #BLM has no footprint because...?
Did it?

Crime in Boise has been on a downward trend for years and is among the lowest in the nation. Boise remains an incredibly safe city and we have made crime rates for comparable cities available here.

Even with an increase in population, the property crime rate in Boise is going down and the violent crime rate has stayed at a low level.
Yes, it did.

The idea that police just shoot black criminals because is untrue. There are plenty of examples. Ignoring them is selection bias.

Yes, it did.

The homicide rate for black males soared after May 2020. No BLM footprint? Okay.

In 2020 those identifying or identified as Black or African American made up 13.5% of the U.S. population, according to CDC estimates (that for definitional and other reasons don’t quite match the results of the 2020 U.S. Census). They also made up 55.6% of the homicide victims, and 65.6% of the increase in homicides relative to 2019. To put it another way, the homicide rate for Black Americans rose from 22.9 per 100,000 in 2019 to 30.7 in 2020. For all other Americans, the rate went from 3.2 to 3.8.

Let me guess, per capita only applies to crime rates and not death by police right? There is a disproportionate amount of black people shot and killed by police compared to white people. What we're really debating here is whether or not more innocent black people are killed than white innocent people. I don't think there is a statistic out there that can prove that but it's not far-fetched to deduce that when there are more black people being shot and killed by police there may be more innocent black people being killed by police. I personally don't care about the race of the victims I only care that the police don't get too comfortable killing innocent people. Whether the victims are white, black, or a child (yes they have done so on occasion) is not my primary issue with our policing.

I was going for arrests. Plenty of armed black offenders are taken into custody alive. The notion that the police will just shoot an armed black offender is false.

"The people who talk about the 'root causes' of crime never include leniency."-- Thomas Sowell

I understand the thought I only disagree with the execution. You can't have a conversation with people by entering the discussion with generalizations. You have to actually talk to people. I never did like quotes from XXX being used to make a statement about XXX.

It has happened on occasion.

Here is a classic case.

Still false? Or will you add an expiration date to that statement?

Edit: Sorry just realized you weren't making the argument for unarmed black people. Disregard.
