Not sure if this link will work. Saw this video about the 42 boys who kicked Elisha and god sent two bears to kill them all. Just another example of how much god loves you.

One of the guys posts: God will not be mocked!

I’m thinking, I bet the guys at IIDB would know a good riposte to such. Mine may have been too lame.

I have been mocking God my whole adult life, and a significant part of my childhood - Ever since I found out that there were people who actually really think for real that God isn't just make-believe.

Literally zero bears have ever attacked me, and zero Gods have so much as asked me to desist.

God will be, is being, and has been mocked by my very existence, by my words, my deeds, my beliefs, and my disregard for the idiocies of his cheer squad.

Fuck God. If He didn't want to be mocked, He shouldn't have been such a laughably obvious fiction. And fuck his promoters. If they wanted to be taken seriously they should have tried being less ridiculous.

God will be, is being, and has been mocked most of all by his most ardent supporters. Saying "God will not be mocked" in response to the tale of Elisha is absurd and truly risible. Even on my best days, I couldn't be as effective, in mocking God, as whatever turkey said such a thing with a straight face.

God will be mocked, and is thus shown to be a powerless tall tale - were further proof of this really needful.

Religious people hate blasphemy, because it stands witness to Gods impotence. If God likes it, then why are they getting upset? If God doesn't like it, then why doesn't He do shit about it?

Yeah, sure. He ran out of bears. So he had to send fuckwits with impotent internet rage to 'deal' with me. Some God.

If (a) Moses saw God's derriere, in Exodus 33...and (b) God sits around in a loose robe, with mischievous cherubim behind him (Sistine ceiling)...has God ever had a good and proper wedgie?

It's God's priests who get all bent out of shape when people laugh at them and mock them. Why should anyone take them seriously when They claim to speak for him, and they are ones who get mad when anyone else clams that the faithful only speak for their own gain. Why not let him speak for himself, and do his own punishing, if he exists and can do so?

A priesthood with the power of life and death, overseeing the faithful and the heretic, has had an irresistible lure in history. Still has, unfortunately, if you live in certain parts of the world. There's always someone ready to step forward and make things right for God.

I would imagine God went commando?

Whenever I hear bible stories like the one about Elisha and the kids who made fun of his bald head, I start singing this catchy little tune:

They cut off the video right before the good part.
Editing the Bible is a sin. Bad editing is a super sin.

God is your imaginary friend, so it is YOU who is mocked.
OR:
God is your sock puppet, so it is YOU who is mocked.
...so it is YOUR CHURCH that is mocked.
...so it is YOUR gullibility that is mocked.

Thinking about it, "God will not be mocked" is making a claim about the future. How far in the future we don't know. It could be "in the 24th century God will not be mocked", for similar reasons as to why Artemis is not mocked today.

God will not be mocked in the next four milliseconds.
See? It takes longer than four milliseconds to mock.
