There will be pain. Well maybe. Or not. There may not be pain. But what will happen. America will be great again, either with, maybe with, or without pain. He still hasn't explained how tariffs will make America better, other than his suggestion that people should just build their stuff in America.

The fucking asshole doesn't get that the unfair advantage would be in areas with cheap labor, lower environmental restrictions... Vietnam, Malaysia, China. Tariffing Canada... because they aren't selling American lumber? WTF?!

I think there should be a consortium of western democracies that should refuse to do business with Trumpistan altogether. 100% tariffs on American goods and refuse to sell anything to America.

Maybe when 50-something percent of the electorate falls below poverty level and the “bread” part of “bread and circuses” goes away, they’ll consider electing a government not led by a sociopathic felon, no matter how entertaining the circus might be.

Well, that is the misguided idea--that production will come back like it was in the 50s and 60s. But it's just not going to happen unless people are willing to drive tiny cars, stop buying unnecessary bullshit on Amazon, and pay god knows how much more for clothing and cellphones.

Corporations have proved themselves to be focused on short term profit. Even if in theory tariffs could bring back production I don’t see any reason why a company currently would put in the long term investment to re-establish US-based production when they could either simply raise prices and/or adjust their profit margins.
 
If these stupid tariffs fuck us badly enough we’ll get cheaper gasoline.

Well said, chicken man. We can't replay the postwar boom. The U.S. will never again manufacture most (in some cases, any) of its clothing, shoes, electronics, silverware, dishes, small appliances, or goddamn Trump Bibles and Barbie dolls. Trump and his cronies for sure wouldn't pay the wages necessary to bring back all those factory jobs. This trade war will accomplish one thing: it will make visceral, intractable enemies of our neighbors. And because we elected the Exalted One, we'll have earned it.

Probably the best possible outcome given the clowns in charge, is that gas consumption plummets because nobody can afford it and there’s nowhere to go anyhow.

Even if Kamala offered nothing (and actually she did, including continuing much of Biden's policies to restore and improve the American economy) it would be better than the negative results Trump and his cronies is bringing to America and the world.
Again you make ignorant claims about progressives and anti-science. It is the Republican Party that is anti-science. CRT is not taught in any schools, and is a specialist subject taught to a small number of students at university, and it isn't what you think it is. No one is dreaming up new genders, this is a topic for biologists not fascist politicians and lying media. White privilege is real, but again it is more nuanced than you think; not all white people are privileged but only a minority and again that is the real claim, not the spurious bullshit you are projecting.

You really need to avoid Fox and other propaganda outlets which are filling your head with rubbish, and inform yourself by reading and listening to more enlightened sources that are operating in the 21st century, not the fantasy world of far-right ignorance and anti-Americanism.
